What are your Christmas Presents?

I suspect I will be getting a bunch of Stanford gear. Probably Fiesta Bowl tickets and Red Sox tickets as well. :)

I am giving mostly rocks and iPads

I didn't realize you were into crack, but that's very generous of you. :D

I told my girlfriend that I like books focused on U of Michigan football. I gave my girlfriend a listing of 4 or 5 books that I wanted. She may give me 1. Maybe 3 books..... I told her to surprise me. I like surprises!!!

I think I'm going to be ill...maybe someday you'll see the GREEN light! :D

Do you get a chance to go to the games at Fenway, or do you get tickets for someplace closer to you when they're playing an away game?

We usually go up to Baltimore - aka "Fenway South" - once or twice in the spring, for one RS game and maybe one more in May.

My Christmas presents: nieces will get practical scarves (one in MSU green, as she will be a Spartan next year; the younger one will get a cute lime green, Christmas red, and white stripes one).

Sisters: beautiful scarves with luxury yarns.

New nieces by marriage: alpaca neck-warmer for one, bright red "eternity" scarf for the other.

Hubby: Nook Tablet computer, his favorite fruitcake (already arrived), a Castle t-shirt that says "I really am ruggedly handsome, aren't I?" (because he IS!), and a nice boxed set of Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, and Pudd'nhead Wilson.

(Explanation for that last one: we were talking about American literature, and specifically Mark Twain, a while ago. Hubby being a Brit, he never read American literature at school. He was curious about how Mark Twain's works could be considered both children's books and serious commentary on American life at the time. So - now he'll know.)

Aunts and uncles and other older friends and relatives will all get Collin Street Bakery fruitcakes. Everyone seems to love them, and they are appropriate for the generation that really doesn't want to accumulate any more "stuff" in their lives.

Nook Tablet, boxed book sets. :nono: Return and put the books on the Nook!

.

I usually catch them somewhere on the road. This year is the 100th anniversary of Fenway so I am making the pilgrimage to Boston. I will probably see them in Oakland also.

I know, I know!! Even as I ordered it, I thought - "hmm, why am I doing both?"

But I think some books really deserve to be actual books. If he would rather have them on the Nook, we can return the boxed set after Christmas.

You'll be at least a LITTLE proud of me, though, Bottts - I finally bought some books for my own Nook! (Instead of just getting them out of the library.) Bought "A Lion Among Men," from the "Wicked" series. I already read "Wicked" and "Son of a Witch." This is the next one.

I think it's an early Christmas present to myself.

Don't know what I'll get for Christmas. But I think my mother mentioned that she and one sis had chipped in for a lovely bed blanket cover or something.

For mum, I got her a pink Lancaster handbag, lemon body cream and a cameo brooch.

For my siblings and their children- dvds, jewelleries, and t-shirts. Nothing big or expensive.

For myself, I bought a box of complete Harry Potter Hardcover books.

Bought three gifts for underprivileged kids.

Not sure if this is quite the right topic for it, but if you all need a laugh:

People I Want to Punch in the Throat: Over Achieving Elf on the Shelf Mommies

This totally cracked me up. It was posted on Facebook by a very creative friend of mine who LOVES "Elf on a shelf" and constantly has "Elfie" (hers is a girl "elf" for her little daughter) doing wonderfully creative things.

And then she saw this blog and laughed herself silly, so had to share it. She is one of the over-achieving mommies, for sure.

My dad promised me that he will get a america eskmio puppy for christmas but hard to find it in NV.
Here is what I gave my family:

My sister in law will have nice perfume and lotion from victoria secret
My dad will have new suitcase from me
My mom will have convection oven for hotdog and bread both
My younger brother will have $40 starbuck card

and some of my friends that I give:

I plan to give them the small perfumes from victoria secret, starbuck bag and others.

So funny, but I loved the comments below even more, particularly the mom who thought it would be fun to make Dexter elf and create a kill room in the barbie house. Hysterical!

Ahem. Where's my present? See, I would hate for anyone on your list to accidentally find out what they're getting early. Capiche? :)

My hubby never comes to AD and my son cant read that well yet. My daughter is in AZ so I dont think she is interested in AD. lol

But doesn't TWA know where you live? And maybe even have your phone #? I think that was his threat. Get him something or he's contacting the others. :giggle:

Try this one for American Eskimo. I've never seen an American Eskimo puppy when I volunteered at animal shelter, but I did see American Eskimo adult dog.

LOL! Yeah, you're right about that, but I've got Mac's phone number and your daughter's on my FB. Your move, Scrooge. :squint:

(I'm just kidding of course. Shelly and her family sent me a very nice Christmas card/picture. They're a great looking family. Thanks, Shelly! :))

I got my daughter a Cricut, my son an amp for his electric drum set, and I might get him a bolt action .22 rifle that he really wants, they are both getting box set of a show they really like, my niece and nephew got craft sets, for my inlaws, and parents I am attempting to crotch scarves. I have been practicing every day. Tomorrow I will start the real deal. I will get my nephew in Texas a lego gift card to Target.

I have been saving for Christmas since May. I really love doing something special for my kids. They don't ask for anything, and are so appreciative for everything. I can't wait to see their faces Chrismas morning. That in itself will be the best gift ever! :D
