Wondering what to do next with my career.

We just got home from our little trip. Drove to South Shore Lake Tahoe and found a beautiful beach. We just by chance had our lawn chairs in my trunk. Made a pic-nic and sat in the beautiful sun for a few hours. Water is super cold but good to get your feet wet and cool you off.

Then we drove all the way around the lake and stopped at Emerald Bay, OMG has to be the most beautiful place in all of California.

I will see the lake from the train. Can't wait.

Just got back from a bike ride. I visited an area I hadn't been to in quite a few years. Not much has changed.

This hill is one of our steeper ones around Rogers Park. On a bicycle, without pedaling, speeds can easily reach 40 MPH. There are multiple streets with a hill just like this one. This photo was taken at Ridge and Pratt.

Just finished eating a cucumber / tomato / onion salad I made yesterday.

Thinking about taking a nap.

I wonder what side of the lake the train takes you on? Definitely a sight to see and a perfect time for pictures. It's all beautiful but South Shore Lake Tahoe is where Emerald Bay is.

There is a beautiful vista point area were we got out and just sat in AHHHH. There was a lot of people from out of state visiting. We spoke with a lady from Maryland who said she was sure this lake would be empty and all brown because of the drought and what she had seen on the news. So she was so surprised just how beautiful it all was.

Finally cleaning out my closet, dresser drawers, night stand, shoes and clothes and bathroom cabinets. So much for Goodwill. Have a long way to go but Marley started throwing up. I think she got a hold of one of my spearmint lifesavers. Poor baby. So I'm taking a break for one hour and I WILL go back and do more. HAHAHA I'm getting rid of anything I have not seen or used in the last three years. Can't wait until it's all done.

Done for the day but OMG I found so much good stuff. Gift cards and a lot of clothes I had put away. Some brand new. Felt like I went shopping but I didn't spend any money.

I just finished chatting with Comcast. I had asked about an early termination fee for my account, and much to my surprise, I don't have a contract connected to it, and that allowed me to make a big change-- reduce my monthly bill from $98.68/month to just $68.45/month, but first I'll pay $56.49, then I'll pay the $68.45/month. Looking forward to saving some money, and a good bit of it at that.

I think I read the train runs on the north side. It stops at Truckee, if that helps. I also found a video on youtube taken from the train. I don't know if it was the eastbound or the westbound train.

Yes, California Zephyr train stops at Truckee in both directions.

We had dinner in Truckee on our way home. I may be wrong, but hubby just told me that the train does not go through Lake Tahoe. It follows the mountains on the north side but you never actually see the lake. You should be going through Reno and yes Truckee if I am not mistaken.

We have decided to stay in California this summer for our vacations. So many beautiful areas to see. Giant Sequoias, Big Sur, Carmel, Santa Cruz, Napa Valley, San Francisco and so much more. What is great about visiting these places is the weather, so much cooler then here at home.

Just finished a puzzle involving my husband getting accused of picking on my friend`s daughter and making her cry. Turned out the she was using my husband's name to get herself out of trouble with her parents. Geez...so glad that it all got cleared up because everyone was all getting upset with each other.

buying an extra LCD tv for PS3, (50 inch), nothing huge, just comfortable enough for driving games...
