What are dogs for the Deaf?

I've been browsing around the forum and saw the topic for Dogs for Deaf and I wondered ..?

Anybody that has a hearing dog especially trained for deaf would please care to enlighten me ?

Our 11 month old dog, American Pitbull Terrier is being trained right now. Any dogs with good level of intelligence can be trained.

Get a Dog that has been in the working groups for years. German Shepherds are a good breed to consider but there are other breeds you can have.
