I was watching the Weather channel, they said tennessee and mississippi has thunderstorm, but there is noo thunderstorm or rain in my area.

Even in forecast in www.weather.com saying my hometown has
rain and thunderstorm, I have not seen one dropped of rain.

Just because Hurricane hit Mississippi and Louisiana, and Texas coastline, doesn't mean the whole state is affected by it. Geez.

We only got cloudy day with windy.

depends on what the weatherman said...you didnt tell us if he said today, torromow, or next week, etc...

It is impossible to accurately predict the weather. Even if the entire surface of the Earth were covered with sensing devices one foot apart, there would be enough variance in between the sensors to skew the results and render accurate forecasts impossible. We will never, ever be able to predict the weather with 100% accuracy. Weather forecasts are made on the basis of historical probability distributions. If the weatherperson says that there is a 35% chance of rain, it means that 35% of the times that these conditions have occurred, it has rained.

Did they say exactly that it was going to rain where you live? No. When I watch the news here in the dorms at RIT, they tell us about the weather in Rochester. However, when they talk about Rochester... they are talking about DOWNTOWN ROCHESTER. I've seen rain in one zip code, but not another. You're probably better off reading the weather report for YOUR ZIP CODE instead of what the television weather report says. What they say on television is considered a "guess" based on the zip-code of the weather station for that news station.
