If you don't believe what Jesus said about Himself in His own book, the Bible, then what would convince you to believe other books written about Jesus by third parties who are only humans? If you can't trust the Bible, how can you trust extra-biblical sources?

I do not mean other books written by other humans. I mean other sacred writings, (not counting the Torah) that mention Jesus as a Good Man and a Savoiur. Oh, and the Bible was not written by Jesus.....It was written by His disciples, if I recall correctly. The discplies were not Gods.....they were just plain HUMANS! Also the books of the Bible were picked out by a community of faliable HUMANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also think that you don't realize that Jesus was saying that if you accept the theory of One God, that you cannot get to That God, except through Him.He did not say anything about Other Gods, or other parts of the puzzle. I do not believe in the Judo- Christian God..........but I do believe in a Higher Being that isn't nessarily the Judeo-Christian God. I mean I wonder if the Name really means anything. Remmy, that's not the Bible. It's a good series of books but it's not the Bible.

Biblical scholars who did know the original languages made the best translations. Not all translations qualify, and some aren't translations but paraphrases. Also, extra-biblical books don't count as Scripture.

There is no contradictions in the Bible. On the other thread about them. They quote different scriptures with comparison and think its contradictions which is not. When we point out the meaning of the acriptures, what's their reaction? Upset and angry and saying, "man, them christians don't get it", the truth is, is the other way around. Likewise, the very 'words' that came out of the officier's mouth and yours...it may exhibited the freedom of speech, although, at the same time, both of you 'respected' one another--meaning not resorting to 'violence' such as hitting upon one another, then obviously chaos would have been everywhere if that had happened. That's one view of 'respect'...another view of 'respect' is to respect the ideals/opinions of others even if you or anyone else don't believe/agree with it...that's where Alldeaf.com stands on. In turn, they are to respect your own opinions/thoughts likewise. Somebody comes into the Religious forums and posts what they feel about Christ and that this video explains how they feel. Instead of discussing why people feel the way they do about the video, somebody comes along saying Fuck the christians. It turns into a christian bashing and takes away from the point of the person who posted it.

If you do not believe in god and have nothing to contribute, why post in that thread? If you want to make your argument about why you dont believe and think that christians are full of crap, then make a thread about it and discuss it instead of trashing threads where other people say they believe in god..

I never have problem with teens, Because I have my sweet twelve years old son will be-soon-teen in next year. One thing I never allow my son access any rated "R" , "xXx" on internet without permission /or with permission. Even I forbid my son can talk to older randoms on internet anytime, especially My son can talk one of members by my family like uncleor grandparent on internet.. I feel that way you disrespect your own parent that whatever you access rated "R" or "xXx" on internet in their house... that is disgust and disrespect me big time..

about freedom of speech, someone posted the movie. you came in and said 'Fuck Christians' and go on this big tantrum about how bad christians are. you call that being respectful of others. only you are allowed to think a certain way. if somebody thinks differently than you, you go into their thread and start with the fuck this and fuck that and name calling. you do not see anything wrong with that? if you dont then there isnt much anyone can do to get you to show some respect to other people.

I always tell teens on aim or whatever, I am lost interest to talk with teens. But they said, they want to have friend with me, I tell them, I am not interest to have new friend with any teens period.. then they left me alone.. For example, you work with childern in classroom, one happen that day, some guys picked on one person. little child had lose his good temper, he started to curse on some guys, saying leave person alone and give him some respect for who he is. he trying protect person from someguys pick on and judge on..
