Being raped in prison for the rest of his life would be a perfect punishment for this guy.

This is definetly one of the worst stories I've ever heard and I'm completely speechless.

Yet, they said that man was in prison for 8 years after the murder or something. I just dont understand that, and he was released just after what he did?

The justice system is obviously pretty poor these days.

and that's what you get for abolishing death penalty. once you kill, YOU WILL KILL AGAIN! Solution for that? death penalty. plain and simple.

No, it was similar happened in England in around 80s.

Yes, he belongs to life sentence!!!!!!!

Not all who repeat to kill anyone.

Yes, they would repeat to kill anyone if they suffer mental illness that's why they belongs to life sentence.

in case you forget... it's illegal in USA to execute people with mental illness. Are you saying all murderers have mental illness?

Oh I see... I thought they execute serial killers, don't they? Yes, all serial killers suffer mental illness (Personality Disorder). Example Ted Bundy, yes they executed Ted Bundy. He suffered personaility disorder. :dunno:

I said: Not all who repeats to kill anyone which mean is some suffers mental illness and some not. I would say ALL serial killers who suffer mental illnesses who repeats to kill anyone. Some murderers (kill accident, kill out of jealous, fight, etc) which is not same as serial killers doesn't have any mental illness then have good chance to correct and positive their behavior.

Not always. Why? because they make a good lab rat for the psychologists/profilers.

Well I've repeatedly said that people should be executed for heinous crimes like this sadistic rape or kiddie rapes. Killing out of jealousy like O.J. Simpson does not really qualify for execution - Life Sentence will suffice for O.J. Simpson.

Yes, some people killing out of jealously, not similar to O.J. Simpson. Yes I know he is very jealous man but worst crime is he paid someone to kill his ex-wife and Ron... It belongs to life sentence.

why not? I certainly would want that man who raped and tortured Columbia University student to be executed. I don't think she will not live her life peacefully knowing that twisted rapist is alive with the chance of escape or being released under bureaucracy crap. Maybe he could be pardoned.. maybe the organization would pressured politicians for early release.. who knows? We'll have to wait till a reporter asks her that question.
 
I am not about to defend this man in any way whatsoever... and what I am about to say may cause people to hate on me.

Yes, I think life in prison or in a mental institution is in order for this man, with no contact with women... all doctors and guards that serve him from now on should be males.

Castration, I... have to admit this appeals to me as a vindication. However... it is most likely a rights violation (even prisoners have rights, which is why torture is not allowed in 'standard' law. No 'physical' modifications (gouging eyes, cutting off body parts, etc). Also, even if he were castrated, this will not prevent him from assaulting females in other ways.

I understand people are angry and just want to vent... it makes me angry too. However, anger and vindictiveness have no place in justice.

If you will notice, Lady Justice does have a sword... but she also has a blindfold, and a set of balanced scales. This is how justice should be... impartial, weighing, and with swift effectiveness. It should NOT be out of rage, or vindictiveness.

Edit:
This is also why, in the US, cases are tried by a jury of 12 citizens. What options that are within the law are presented (e.g. Murder 1, Murder 2, etc.). The judge remains impartial, allows the counselors to examine the case, then the jury decides the verdict, only then does the judge decide sentencing, within the law.

It's very possible, I think. There was some big debate about some pedophile some time back who the media wanted to be chemically castrated, so it's just a matter of implementing it, I guess.

:werd: The thought that tax dollars are going to pay for this piece of garbage to get three meals a day for the rest of his life makes me sick.

I've heard about it on New York Times, It's a terrible tragedy of what she went through for 19 hours. This is probably the most disturbing thing I've ever read
