OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma on Friday became the fourth state to allow the death penalty for repeat child molesters, although legal scholars questioned the constitutionality of the new state law.

Similar statutes already are in place in Florida, Louisiana and Montana, and South Carolina's governor is expected to sign a similar law soon.

Oklahoma Gov. Brad Henry didn't discuss the measure Friday as he signed it into law.

The law makes the death penalty an option for anyone convicted of a second or subsequent conviction for rape, sodomy or lewd molestation involving a child under 14.

Defense attorneys and death penalty experts said the measure defies recent U.S. Supreme Court decisions that have scaled back the death penalty's application.

Richard Dieter, executive director of the Death Penalty Information Center in Washington, said the sex offender bills are a reaction to public outcry over the frequency and seriousness of sex offenses, and the attention they receive in the media.

No one convicted of a sex offense has been executed since the U.S. Supreme Court reinstated capital punishment 30 years ago, though one inmate is on death row in Louisiana following his 2003 conviction for raping an 8-year-old girl.
 
execute the child sex offenders! pedophiles are the worst of the worse breed of criminals IMHO and thus should be put to death but first id like to see them suffer the same way their child victims suffered prior to their VERY SLOW death -- many of the child rapists are also murderers cuz they dont wanna be caught having been the one who violated the child(ren)

I have a story to share with u. My sister who was a rn nurse at the state hospital and they had to take all those sex offenders (SVP) who spend time in jail to evaluation them before send them back to the society. Guess what one of those sex offender almost killed her coworker and attacked my sister there. It traumazied her for rest of her life so is her coworker. She said all of them are so sick in mind and should never be out on the street ever again. None of psycologist nor pyschirat can rehabilation those svp.

That is why we do not want them ever back in our backyard ever. Stay in jail forever.

That's right.

I know of three deaf sex offenders from my old school. One is now out of jail, one is currently in prison (this one is a repeat sex offender), and another one recently got caught and may do 5 years in prison. I wish they all stay in prison forever!!! Never be let out of prison ever!
 
I am really surprised at the turn of events here which seems to really have nothing to do with the orginial post.

I agree with all of you guys. The only thing sex offenders will understand is death, either execution by their children's angry dad or the police guards take him to the electric chair, Old Sparky but I prefer that they face a firing squad.
 
While this post COULD apply to sex offenders, I'm gonna stick to the original intent of the thread.

I have had it happen where someone warned someone else about me, and I don't think that was fair to me. These people, whoever they were, don't know me well enough to judge me, but they did so, anyway.

Such is life.

It upset me at the time, but whatever. I am pretty sure I no longer have contact with the "whisperers" anymore.

One thing I've learned about the internet or just life in general, people are gonna talk. It's not fair, but life does go on. Now, I just surround myself with people who I know are my friends and have my best interest at heart, and I pretty much say "screw you" to the other people.

Then his mom can put a bullet in his head while he sleeps to protect her daughter from further abuse and harm or his relatives will kill him or the police guards will kill him. That screams for justice and death to be done !!!!!

yeah that isn't fair.. just because you can't get along with them, doesn't mean you can't get along with everybody.

Ouch, not so good. One of them are not in jail. I knew of two deaf who touched little girls, one caught and other got away but was killed few years later in car accident. One caught only spend few weeks in jail because it was his first time caught. GRRRRRR.

There was one deaf svp patient at state hospital where my sister used to work said he acted so normal and innocent , many people were fooled by his look and way of action but not to my sister and others who worked there. We can not tell anyone if they are svp or not, just we have to be smart and read their body language.
I wonder if there is too many deaf svp out there and many deaf parents did not know about it.

I am horrible person sometime. When my friends met this lady who is working for social work office and told me how wonderful about this perosn then I had warned my friends about her, truly sad but I did because of what this person did to my old neighbors. Never trust this person with social work in background, I do not think she knows it yet. I hope not but I respect her and at the same time I won't be around her for fear of being turned in for any small reason.
I unds if your upset about others who spread ill words about u as I have with this person. I am sure this person wonder why no one want to be around her. It was mean of me doing this to her and I feel bad about it. But I did this to protect myself and my friends from people alike hers.

Yeah the one that is not in jail got out of jail about 3 years ago I think. The one that is in prison now is doing 12 years I think. He also raped a friend of mine as well.

May I ask, what does "svp" mean? I never heard of a term like that.

Depend on what u really mean, if you have a policeman as your neighbor then U would not trust this person cuz he/she would call law on u if u do something illeagal alike if u have too many cars or too many animals in their backyard. I had this neighbor called on us once when my old blind/deaf dog wandered across to his lawn then he called dog pound on us then we got ticket. Then never trust this person again. I would warn my other neighbors about this one.

U think I have many friends and she not? I am sure she has alot friends but some of them stopped see her as well even I do not tell them about her. She did it to herself not me or others.

As for me doing something bizarre umm I have no idea cuz I won't do to harm others. Of course I make many enemy here on AD here and other bulleton board. I speak what I think that cause me many trouble, but I have to or I will never learn about myself. I do not have any friends here on AD, I don't feel bad about it because I know who I am, very strong willed person, not many people like to be around me.

SVP means sexual violence predator. I learned from my sister when she worked there. This man who broke my sister's mind, he strangled her co-worker a pyschologist and hit my sister so hard when she tried to stop him from killing her co-worker. Lucky she saved his life when she did cpr on him unfortunely for this man, he has brain damaged and lost voice when svp patient broke his voice box. SVP patient was sent back to jail and hope he will never ever get out.
