Hmm I wonder if that is true and where is source for the mercury in energy bulb and how did it kill someone? I have not heard nor can't find a news source for that information. If you provide the evidence then we will know and warn us. I do have the energy bulb for my VP and never had any problems. This case is unheard of.
By the way, if the bulb does have mercury it would not have end up in the market and would have a warning label on it. I don't see any on the label on the bulb market.
That guy probably have a defect bulb or the lamp itself. Perhaps his death caused by something else, not the bulb itself unless the evidence support and proved.
Either this is made up or an hoax to scare people IMO.

They come in clusters to make even more light. I plan on getting a LED flashlight because they're very bright and last longer than bulbs. I could find only candles and our oil lamp the last time we lost power.
