Hey guys, this is my first time posting forums here at Alldeaf.com.. I feel thrilled to be a member of alldeaf.com.. I hope you all are enjoying your day. Now I have a couple of questions, may be a few I don't know it depends..

1. I made a petition a few months back to make these companies to give back unlimited data access for deaf and hard of hearing people. I don't know if alot of you think this is silly but it's very important.. I think it's kinda silly that we'd have to pay at a full retail price to keep the unlimited data (for those who are in grandfathered plan), if you don't, you will be forced to change to their tiered data plan. I understand their policy and all but on the other side, I'm looking at how they are treating deaf customers and they're not doing it so well..

2. Here's another thing, hearing people get to have TWO amazing things: UNLIMITED talk and UNLIMITED TEXT, data (it depends if they ever have unlimited or tiered data), deaf people get to have ONE.. I don't know if you agree with me on this one but I am trying to explain that deaf people should be equal as hearing people have.. it's not fair they're getting away, I can accept life is unfair but it is also not hurt to make a change for the better in deaf community.. what is your thought on this? type your concerns and let us know if you think we deserve to have the unlimited data..

now, here's the link to the petition.. please spread it around and have everyone to sign up.. even hearing people who understand why we need unlimited data..

I want to thank you for your time!

Simon, I actually thought I had a bug on my monitor until I realized it was your avatar! LOL! Good one!

I thought Sprint provides unlimited data plan to Deaf/HH customers???!!

Sprint Relay Store

Hmmm now there again, I think I may have failed to mention something about Sprint.. yes they do offer a separate special plan to accommodate deaf/HOH customers: UNLIMITED DATA AND UNLIMITED TEXT/PICTURE MESSAGING without voice plans..

what I was talking about is some companies such as AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless, they don't offer TRULY unlimited data plan for deaf people anymore.. T-Mobile does have truly unlimited data plan, the catch is, if you subscribe to their $70 unlimited everything, you get that.. When I mentioned they don't offer unlimited data plan anymore, it's not only for deaf/HOH customers but for everyone else too... I want them to understand we need UNLIMITED DATA access for our daily usage on our phones.. they don't give a heck about what we want.. we need to fight these companies..

No offense but did anyone really understand my point in my thread? Well if you do, please help to spread the words, have everyone sign the petition.. we deserve equality.. that's all I care about: EQUALITY.. if you are one of them, sign the petition, I gave the link my first thread post

I have no problem with Sprint Relay Store's deaf unlimited data plan. Just $44.99 plus tax a month. If you're hearing person. You can't have deaf unlimited data plan.

Sprint has unlimited data for ALL - including deaf and hearing.

T-Mobile and Sprint have unlimited data for all customers.

I think it should cover Verizon and at&t.

I understand Sprint have good plan for deaf and hard of hearing customers, I am with you all.. but you must understand my point, my point is we must protest to those companies to convince them to understand our situation no matter what, we're deaf, we need unlimited data access, do you know that AT&T and Verizon no longer offer unlimited data plan? those of you who are a customer with AT&T or Verizon, after July 2011, they threw unlimited data away... we have to explain to them that we all need equality as hearing does.. READ CAREFULLY, hearing customers, what do they have?: UNLIMITED TALK and UNLIMITED TEXT..that's TWO.. TWO.. keep in mind.. what do deaf people have? ONE... that's my point... the main point is they don't understand why we need unlimited data access and in my opinion, they don't care to.. we have to fight those.. that's why I made the petition.. if no understand my points, then I don't know what else to explain.

I still carry unlimited everything with Verizon for $54 a month grandfathered plan. Couple years ago or so, At&T and Verizon ended the unlimited plan because people abuse it bogging up the bandwidth for other users. That leaves Sprint with only carrier that have unlimited data plan but it doesn't have good coverage in most areas which is why I dropped Sprint and joined Verizon. T-mobile still carries unlimited plan -- with a price.

It's true that you have to pay full price to keep the original plan without having to have a new contract with price changes and affects your plan. If someone wants to pay full retail keep the plan, it's their choice.

I doubt that signing a petition will solve or help with anything but you could try. They probably won't change a thing... we probably will see price go up in the future. Who knows if they will bring back unlimited or not, but probably not in the near future.

Same idea with your internet provider, they have a data cap too. Phone carriers have the data cap because people abuse the bandwidth and another reason is there is more streaming movies can be watched on tv and smartphones which uses up more data bandwidth.

U need to get the media involved...
I had some elderly friends... they were having TERRIBLE service with Verizon...
In order to call or text, they had to get into their wheelchairs and go the front door and out onto the uncovered front steps of their house... RAIN, SNOW, SLEET, etc... these people were being treated HORRIBLY by Verizon... I called Verizon over and over again... They hemmed and hawed... told me they were going to fix it... they were sending techs out to look at the problem... (BTW: There was a Verizon cell tower less than a tenth of a mile away, they just happened to be between radiation bands) ... So, finally after a year of this... I got on the internet and tracked down all the local radio and television stations... I also got all of the email addresses for the ones in the next larger city (Columbia)... then, I started an email barrage... I also, email our state representatives... we will probably never know who did it... but, after that, SOMEBODY called them and they were scared... IT WAS FIXED within a few days of me doing that...
Personally, I believe that one of the local television stations called Verizon to get some information and asked them a few questions about it, to make a story... and before anyone could make a story about it... POOF!!! They came out to the tower, made a few adjustments, and it was fixed...
Praise G♥D for delivering the wisdom for me to do that...
Anyway, I hope that this helps...
