If there's too many republican candidates for 2012 so could put General Petraeus in fall of behind so would better if he runs as independent, just no parties.

General Petraeus is far better than Bobby Jindal, Jeb Bush, Huckabee and Sarah Palin, IMO.

That would be a GREAT idea. Give up the financial backing of a Party and go solo.
