To me, it's a combination of showmanship and Tai-Chi. It resounds the influence of circles/spherical shapes have upon people (I wonder why).
It's a meditative watching.
definitely
Thats what i thought, he's an accomplished martial artist for sure
I've done my share of practices in a couple of tai-chi styles and wing chun.
I can recognise some of these, its very subtle, alot of it to do with the ball, sometimes in training for chi sau in wingchun, some teachers have an opinion that to use a imagnary ball to revolve the hands , its really really hard to do. I mean ANY fool (even me) would think its easy to 'pretend' to massage a ball in mid-air like miming with all this accurancy, but it doesnt work like that, your brain , the arms' nerves doesnt registar to a pattern in that highly accurate manner. This guy has definitely nailed it. Have to say, I believe that only some people are Born , yes i repeat BORN with this sort of ability. Yes , practice helps, and especially countless of dementing concentration to perfect this sort of thing. I remember wel that in my teens I practiced for hours and hours just on doing wheelies on bicycles, perfecting is never perfecting, just more accuracy, the dynamics of getting the wheel up is 'easy' but it become harder again to get that 'get up' so perfect than later on when you are actually pedalling away it doesnt accelerate while you try maintain the balancing point... and AGAIN Pedalling in a manner to hold the balancing point...mind numbing... ok
some guys are born with it, i wasnt' and then amazing talent plus amazing pratice produce extraordinary skills. Id believe it.
sorry for a long wuffle, bet it sounded like bullshit but i aren't,
i reckon this guy is definitely a martial artist, take it or leave it.
ah woka wonders why spherical shape have influence? thats pretty self-explantory, chinese belief in the yin and yang revolves in balance and circle. they are incredibally elaborated in this sort of thinking. I cant go on because I dont understand it well. and erm, i refuse to try, lol
ive gone past this martial arts phase in my life (sorry again this is off topic)just saying an empahsis on the chinese intrigue on circles and balance had always been their main interest in regard to philosophy.
