LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
A Las Vegas attorney was arrested after being caught on camera engaging in a sexual act with a female inmate at Clark County Detention Center.
Curtis Cannon, 58, was charged with voluntary sexual conduct between a prisoner and another person, according to an arrest report released Tuesday.
Detectives with Metro's Criminal Intelligence Section were investigating allegations referring to Cannon engaging in misconduct with his female clients.
Police said detectives on Aug. 2 set up a hidden camera in a visitation room that was expected to hold Cannon during a visit with his client Crystal Wallis, 23.
After the 23-minute visit, detectives observed the footage which showed Cannon kissing Wallis in the visitation room.
Throughout the encounter, Cannon was seen peering through a small glass window on the entry door to the room while engaging Wallis, police said.
The two were then shown to have engaged in a sexual act before Cannon elects to notify guards of the visit's end by in-room buzzer.
Detectives questioned Wallis and Cannon separately about the visit.
Both were told they were being videotaped during their encounter. Both admitted to kissing and committing the act.
Cannon, though, said clients usually made the advances toward him and that Wallis wanted to marry him. The attorney indicated he was married at the time.
Cannon was arrested Tuesday and booked into CCDC.
Wallis was also charged with the voluntary sexual conduct charge.
