what's wrong with it if it is for me to learn more about ci users upbringing themselve where they are coming from. CI users should not be afraid of deaf people like me so they would more likely be happy to educate some of us.

:confused: I did not say that ci users should not come to the asl performance.

We do have scripts.. but we dont exactly always ofllow the script.. :)

Can give it t the cart person to have something to follow..

It's an implication. I still haven't gotten over the time you talked about how awful it is you now have to accept HOH, CI, etc and wish you were back in the good old days when it was just you pure deaf socializing.
 
If a tour is being planned, have cities been picked out yet? A not-so-subtle hint: Minneapolis/St. Paul has the largest deaf community in the Midwest, so if any Midwest cities are being planned, that's where to go. Not like I have a stake in it. ;)

MSP isnt on the list currently.... However I have STRONG feelings that it will be due to how we have it set up.

What about the "late deafies"?...who don't wear HA or a CI?...And are not fluent with ASL?...Basic, yes, but not "fingers flying"......Guess we're out of luck, same as for some others, huh?

That is the problem I am trying to think of a solution to..

The performance is pretty much about the entire range of deafness, and poking fun at deaf people who collects SSI.

Sorry if you feel that way. I was making a statement based on my experience toward the deaf world. It is just because of the communication differently between people and me that I am dealing with. It's my rights to express my experiences.

I have said that I have already moved on and accepted the fact of the life do change everyday. So, I am learning a lot from deaf people who do not know ASL and do make friends with them.
 
you can't forget hearing aide dogs !! put one or 2 in the show too.

:hmm:..."Poking fun at the deafies that collect SSI"??...I'm not an expert with the Deaf Culture, but I do know some deafies that absolutely should collect SSI, and not be ashamed about it!....Same as for some hearies that collect Welfare and Food Stamps...
