ok im gonna let u guys in on what im doing for valentines. mandy (my gf) gets off of work at about 5 pm from work. so im gonna pick her up at her house and bring her over to my house at about 6. i got the house to myself, my brother and sister will be out with their lovers.

i bought about 50 candles, lucky me, they were at the dollar store for 1 dollar for a pack of 12. only spent about 5 bucks.

anyway, im gonna lay out candles throughout the entire dining room. and im gonna cook her dinner.

now the problem i have is, there are 2 dishes i could cook. i could cook either

Peppered steak with a side salad and a side of corn.
the peppered steak is slightly spicey. just a little kick to it. its made from ground black pepper and a dash of garlic seasoning.

or i could cook

Chicken breast over white rice with gravy.

im kind of leaning towards the Peppered Steak meal. i like spicey food. but i also love chicken. what do u guys think?

The Steak and get Cesar's Salad ....

The corn is okay doesn't exactly look romantic on a food dish especially on Valentine's Day.

Go with the Well done Steak and Cesar's Salad and a good bottle of red wine.

Don't forget to have some oranges that you and your girlfriend can peel together to eat for dessert.

Your girlfriend will appreciate the healthy food at dinner time and break out the whipped cream and strawberries later on, man !!!! :) :thumb:

oh dang. lol if it was me, I would choose chicken. but hey that is your girl. :)

Hope you find what you are looking for.

I see nothing wrong with corn. It is a perfect side dish with the peppered steak :thumb:

Good Luck , man !!!! I would cook it " Well Done ".....

I voted chicken and rice since I'm making grilled chicken today!

She might like a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. Women like chocolate with strawberries.

Oh Ok ..... keep the Angel cake that will be a real winner in her book. :) :thumb:

I would go with the steak, it's more juicy than chicken, Make sure you dim the lights, add candles and flower in a water vase, why not feed each others that even extra romantic. For dessert how about strawberries with whipped cream, feed it off each others fingers? ;)

Good luck, Let us know how it all went tonight! :thumb:

Seriously you're such a gentleman AJ, I know your girlfriend is going to love everything you have planned tonight....

btw the Angel cake with strawberries sounds yummy!!

AJ, either meal sounds like a gastronomical treat she will love. If I was her, I'd lean toward that yummy sounding steak. One caveat, AJ, since you say this is the first time you will be making this steak, do you think now's a good time to try it for the first time?
