Do you think people would not go on vacations this summer that much because of gas prices or still going anyways? Jeremy & I am still not sure if we can go to SC at the end of May. Damn Gas Prices so high!

We might have to cancel our trip this summer to my family reunion in Connecticut because the gas costs so much. :(

Awww, I am so sorry! It sucks that we can't do many things we enjoy this summer due to gas prices so high. People shouldn't have to pay more for gas over food or other things they need/wants!

this was mentioned on tv news that flying is cheaper than driving and paying gas? i wonder if thts true? as many people are taking up flying istead of driving... hmm..

I prefer flyin' rather than drivin' because, of the gas is too expensive. I am startin' to like to fly now. LOL Less fear this time. :D

The problem about flying is that we won't have a car available at our destination. If we rent one there, it will be an additional expense, plus the rental car will need gas anyway.

Well, it's why we meet new friends thru this net to make friends with them, so this way in the near future, they can pick us up -- to save gas.

As for me, I have a free card for the bus and, it is only for Alaska. I can drive a rental car, but I like the idea of cheap price for the bus rather than pour gasoline in car to cost more. There's many ways you could find cheaper. ;)

I noticed there's a little less people driving in cars on the road now than before because of the gas prices. More people are riding public transit like buses, commuter rail, etc. My friend rides the bus to work, he started doing that about a week ago since it's only $45 a month for bus pass compared to about $180 a month in gas.

Wow indeed a big save on the pass instead of paying money for gas~!

i noticed the same as i have seen increase in people riding on the bus instead of driving to work or anyplaces now. maybe thats what the way of life will be? now bush will laugh.. NOT.. lol

No, gas prices will not keep us from our trip along the Oregon coast and doing B & B along the way plus stay at my wife's family's place for a week.

My dad told me that he drove to Neb from Wyo and Wyo from Neb. He complained that Gas are so high. He said it cost him about $300. He said he wont drive on road again.

I would love to commute via mass transit (I used to do it in DC but I have since moved from there). Unfortunately, my options are limited due to the area we live in. So, I ride with a co-worker one day a week and hopefully that will get to two days week soon.

As for vacation plans, it shouldn't really impact us much as we already have that in our budget.

Me and my mom are going to Vegas in June to see my brother and my neice. We booked early (January) for flight and Hotel online. We are gonna be staying at Circus Circus for 7 days. Cost us 500 a peice. Price has gone up 300 bucks per person since we bought our tickets. I'm excited cuz I never been anywhere like that.

Nah, gas prices won't keep me from going to my vacation destinations.

I'm doing the same, taking the bus to/from college because gas is simply too expensive, especially when coupled with parking fees.

Yes, ONLY if I ride my motorcycle everyday for a month, then I would save approx $500 or more. Could use that $500 to pay for the travel expenses without feeling affected. :)
