These attacks have nothing to do with that movie.
um.... yes it does.
These attacks have nothing to do with that movie.
I read that the movie was first posted to youtube in July. For some reason, it didn't rile up anyone until 9/11.
I think the next lesson for us is respect. what filmmaker did was extremely disrespectful and he should not have done that for the sake of people's safety. Are we going to have to live under censorship? I understand Muslims are relatively new to democracy and freedom, but their next lesson is tolerance.
Should we have stormed mideast embassies for 9/11? Their hostile approach is wrong and gets them in a worse situation than they were in before.
Anti-American rage that began this week over a video insult to Islam spread to nearly 20 countries across the Middle East and beyond on Friday, with violent and sometimes deadly protests that convulsed the birthplaces of the Arab Spring revolutions, breached two more United States Embassies and targeted diplomatic properties of Germany and Britain.
The broadening of the protests appeared to reflect a pent-up resentment of Western powers in general, and defied pleas for restraint from world leaders, including the new Islamist president of Egypt, Mohamed Morsi, whose country was the instigator of the demonstrations that erupted three days earlier on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
Latest report, Black Flag flying over the Embassy in Tunisia.
Also the Taliban has brought a Sustained attack against a base in Afghanistan. 2 Marines have been killed. This is also the base where Prince Harry is believed to be stationed.
It's sad that after the lessons of 1979 our Embassies are not better protected. Embassies are U.S. soil. Raising a flag over U.S. soil is an act of way.
Respect for all religions? Or just Islam? People have been making disrespectful movies about Christianity and other religions for decades and there was no violence or general public outcry.I think the next lesson for us is respect. what filmmaker did was extremely disrespectful and he should not have done that for the sake of people's safety.
It's too bad our host countries in the Middle East didn't defend our embassies with the same force we would use to protect their embassies over here.storm middle eastern embassies? good luck. that's if you wanna get gunned down by SWAT.
I think Middle East started to hate us when we put Israel back on map with Jewish in charge after WWII. We backed them up when few Middle East countries attacked Israel in 1960’s. And then the hate from them grew when we meddle in Middle East over oil.
I guess those film people who made fun of their Mohammed are fucking idiots. Didn’t they ever learn from Dutch who drew Mohammed (which forbidden in Islam religion) that caused uproar by Muslim/Islam people? I think those people should be thrown in jail for causing turmoil in Middle East!
as disrespectful as "Innocent of Muslims"?Respect for all religions? Or just Islam? People have been making disrespectful movies about Christianity and other religions for decades and there was no violence or general public outcry.
do we want to see massacres? It's too bad our host countries in the Middle East didn't defend our embassies with the same force we would use to protect their embassies over here.

News reported that the extremists planned it to start the riots on 9/11 and they used the video to convince the people. Clever but evil!I read that the movie was first posted to youtube in July. For some reason, it didn't rile up anyone until 9/11.
Yes, and worse, especially since they get more widespread distrubution.as disrespectful as "Innocent of Muslims"?
For youtube movies?beside - everybody hates others in a different way. in return for this or related, some people attack Muslim people.
No. That's why the host countries should have been more forceful in protecting our embassies. They didn't, and that's why our four Americans were massacred in Libya.do we want to see massacres?
um.... yes it does.
I am not surprised you think that. we are not allowed to debate politics so I will not go into further.

...But I don't think pulling out completely, and punishing all of them for what small groups are doing is right. A lot of progress had been made, giving up now seems stupid. The world would be better off if we could bring these countries into the modern democratic world, which is why we were doing it in the first place.
