A WOMAN appeared before a judge at Carlisle Crown Court accused of stealing £2,000 from a 91-year-old deaf and blind pensioner.
The old lady will be the chief witness when 53-year-old Catherine Lowe Armstrong goes on trial in August charged with theft.
Yesterday Armstrong, of Briery Square, Evertown, Canonbie, pleaded not guilty to 10 charges, each alleging that she stole £200.
She was remanded on unconditional bail until her trial.
