If Iran sent their own drone over US airspace I am sure we would shoot it down too.

Iran says downed U.S. drone was deep in its airspace | CTV News

It is a real good bet that the Iranians are going to learn its technological capabilities by using reverse engineering and then share it with the terrorists and their allies.

there's nothing special about its technology. it's really of no concern to me because even if Iran can duplicate it, they wouldn't be able to fly it to spy on others. they lack funds and technology to fly a drone at long-distance. they have no satellites either.

they're better off buying toy helicopter from Radio Shack and retrofit it with camera.

These things are really hard to see. I doubt they actually shot it down.

several drones have already been shot down because they don't fly fast and high.

but I'm going to do some digging in this subject and perhaps correct my previous posts.

Do that. Also find out if sending the drones is an act of war.

Any country in their right mind would shoot a drone down if it was in their backyard.

That particular drone is among the most sensitive in the American fleet, and if the report is true it would mean Iran had gained at least partial access to closely guarded American technology. A stealth version of the drone was flown for hours, on repeated occasions, over Osama bin Laden’s hide-out in Abbottabad, Pakistan, earlier this year, without being detected by Pakistani air defenses, American officials said. There have been reports for months, all unconfirmed, that the same drone was being used regularly over Iran, presumably to hunt for hidden nuclear or missile sites.

Iran Probably Did Capture a Secret U.S. Drone | Danger Room | Wired.com
It’s possible the RQ-170 malfunctioned and crashed, either in Iranian territory or close enough to Iran that Tehran’s forces could dart across the border to seize the wreckage. In any event, the Iranians might not learn much — just as the Chinese stand to gain little from examining the remains of a stealthy U.S. helicopter lost during the Bin Laden raid. The principles of stealth shaping are well-understood worldwide, and any stealth coating on the Sentinel reflects decade-old technology.

Similarly, the RQ-170′s sensors are “already dated,” according to Aviation Week. The Sentinel is advanced enough to pull off some risky spy missions for the military and CIA, but not so advanced that losing one is a national emergency.

yep - nothing to be concerned about.

no unless a drone was armed and fired upon them.

since we did that in Pakistan to bomb some Talibans, that caused a high tension between Pakistan and America.
