Two black suspects assaults 88 yr WWII vet

It's sickening that a veteran who served our country during the darkest days of the time to be harmed by those thugs. We should respect our veterans for protecting our country.

When you chose to answer so you got involved.

Not like it? Don't get involved. :dunno:

Kokonut care about race so that why I asked question to him.

I was simply asking you to clarify your question when you mentioned race. Why did you mention race in your question, then start blaming other people for involving race?

You don't understand about question so no clarify for you because you will not understand again.

Not worth for my time.

Well, I certainly am having a hard time understanding why you would ask a racially motivated question then blame others for involving race.

I'm asking an question to Kokonut because he cares about race so I want know if treatment will be different if white guys beat up the black guy.

It is up to Kokonut to answer or not.

Not understand? I'm sorry, I'm not going clarify for you.

I certainly cannot speak for Kokonut, but he did clarify his position a few posts ago.

To summarize, he does not care about race. He is wondering why people made race a factor in the Trayvon incident, but they do not make race a factor in this incident.

It was very clear to me what he was pointing out. Then, you came along and tried to make this a racial issue with your question. That was what I was attempting to clarify. My question was met with an accusation that it was "ME" that made this a racial issue. But I did not ask a question meant to provoke - you did.

Now, I know you are not one of those crazy left wing nuts that race baits everything, and then attempts to silence dissent by ignoring emails ... but you really seem like it in this thread. :giggle:

If news say racial issue was involved in WWII veteran's case so yes, it will be racial issue, but now, there is no racial issue involved in this news.

I only follow whatever news make report.

I found bus beating in Florida wasn't racial issue so I'm correct.

“Gulfport Police Chief Robert Vincent told Fox News the attack does not appear to be racially motivated and was due to the younger boy reporting that one of the assailants had tried to sell him marijuana.”

You are make a mountain out of a molehill.

There is no wrong with my statement and I think you are rude.

No, I agree with her. You have zero sympathy for victims and all the compassion in the world for criminals. That doesn't make you above everyone, although you probably think you are with your love the criminal stance.

Peruvian American is ethnicity - that's different.

Zimmerman's race is White Hispanic - I use Hispanic because he originally from Latin America. Some people can call Latino.

I think you are hypocritical too.
Hispanic is not a race. Hispanic people come in a variety of races.

"In the U.S. the term Hispanic (Hispano) gained acceptance after it was picked up by the government and used in forms and census to identify people with Spanish heritage. Hispanic is not a race but an ethnic distinction, Hispanics come from all races and physical traits. The term Hispanic is merely a translation of the Old World word Hispania (Latin) or Hispano (Spanish)."

"Latin America is a geographic location. People from Latin America are all Latin but not all are Hispanics. Brazilians speak Portuguese, which makes them Latin but not Hispanic. Dr. Lorenzo LaFarelle explained that in the 20's and 50's the term 'Latin American' became very popular. Back then people of Mexican descent born in the United States preferred to be called Latin Americans since they were not actually born in Mexico, they felt the term Mexican did not exactly fit them. Besides that often the term Mexican was used with a derogatory note. In 1928 in the Corpus Christi - Laredo area a group of Hispanics spearheaded LULAC (League of Latin American Citizens) to help combat discrimination and prejudice and to help Hispanics acculturate."

Latinos or Hispanics?

Let me make the connection for you. An 88 year old WWII veteran was murdered by 'troubled young men' - as you put it. These troubled young men, happened to be black. You may say "so what?" .. well why were you not saying that during the Trayvon Martin shooting when it was revealed that Zimmerman was a white hispanic?

Why was Zimmerman's race important ... to you .. and to those who share your philosophy ... and not in this incident?

Where were all the bleeding heart race baiters in this incident rushing to the defense of this WWII veteran's family?

Some points just need to be driven home.

It's very 'troubling' that two men had no regard for a 88 yo man life. And the tragic part of this story is that 88 yo man fought in war so we could all have the freedom we enjoy today. And this is the thanks he get , beaten to death by two thugs. The man made it through a war only to get killed in own backyard. Where are the protesters now?

Agreed. :(

It's a very sad thing for the veteran and his family.

I do wonder why it was mentioned in the original that "two black suspects" ?
Why does that need to be in there? The race of the victim isn't.

The suspects are still at large so it's helpful to have their descriptions and pictures for identification. The police are still searching for them, so if anyone can identify them and contact the police that would be very helpful.

I appreciate your answer, Reba.
But how is that a description any more than "white person attacked World War 2 Vet" " would be a description? People of all races and ethnicities have various appearance and details to them....

No, you made false claim about me.

I made clearly that I have ZERO sympathy for criminals.

I do NOT believe that criminal is superior to victim. I have real sympathy for WWII veteran and his families. :(

It doesn't make sense that Laura made false claim about I have no sympathy for victims.

For #2 post, I don't have good English skill and I do not know if I put words are correct to say - poor sense and cannot realize about how words are strong or make sense.
