Does anyone have tv on the computer to watch like sports, favorite tv shows?

If you do, how does it work? I know u would have to pay for it too??

My uncle have cable tv on his computer but I dunno how he do that :) .. I dunno if he is still use cable tv on his computer :dunno: :)

My girlfriend told me that if you miss your favorite show, you can go to YouTube.com to find that esposide show which you miss it. You can watch the T.V at YouTube.com.

I have not seen this before. That's what my girlfriend told me that it's working. She's geek. Maybe you can try.

In order to get TV on your computer, you gotta buy a PCI TV tuner to put in the computer and put in drivers, then viola you got TV shows running on your computer screen. They do have HDTV tuners for it, too. They require fast computers to run the HD content smoothly.

Edit: Some monitors have video ports to connect external video source to display NSTC video or HD video.

Pay for it? No! It is like buying a tv, but you don't pay to get signal from the air to your TV. Cable, that is another story.

Anyway, you can if you want to watch TV on your PC. TV tuner is needed to install in your PC, can be like Hauppauge WINTV Go, that uses PCI slot or USB connections. OR you can get ATI All in wonder which I am now using and I LOVE IT!!! I had winTV go, and I found out that it is NOT compatible with 64 bit computer, only 32 bits so I ended up bought all in wonder and threw in my PC. Viola! I have TV in my PC, and connect that to my VP. Man! This is much better than on TV. :-D

ok one more question. does it require cable tv?? cuz we dont have cable here?? just double checking. and thanks again

I would love to ask my uncle how he got cable on the computer but he dont go on computer often cause focus on his son and also I dont have his phone number cause he is moving new home already.

Same way as you'd connect to TV! No difference. Just that the design looks different but works THE SAME THING.

Very important check see if they have "TV Tuner" That is all you need. And make sure you have available PCI slot for PCI tv tuner or USB for USB TV tuner.

yeah it's working really perfectly on my computer.. i even can watch my own tv show on my own computer.. it's much easier but too much hassle with wiring.. that's all

I have my own TV on my computer. My bf did all this for me. I really enjoy watchin' it. I even can make it to the right size so I can read this AD at the same time, too. :)

Interesting, I might need your help when I get it. :giggle:

Actually there are also available on AGP and USB! mine is AGP version with built in tv tuner, check out ATI All in wonder 2006/radeon9600.

TV tuner is totally pointless...

I prefer to watch shows on TV, such as LCD monitor.

It seems that TV tuner isn't work for people with digital cable or Directv.

Your mistakenly, yes it will work with DTV or cable :-D Just think about this, the flat screen TV now cost around 350 dollars comparing to the AGP video card with built in tuner cost 120 bux, and the flat screen monitor you could get for 120 dollars of same size!

Pointless? I think your wrong. I do have point! I do not have room for extra TV when connecting to VP! It takes up too much space on my desk. That makes HUGE point!
