One of my friends told me that I should ask this woman out for a date. I have fear. You see, this woman works as a vet aide. I know that she has been bitten by cats in the past. She has mentioned it on Facebook. You see, if we went out, she would ask me about cats. I don't want to tell her that I was bitten the last time I tried to pet a cat. I don't want to lie. She may find out fast that I am clumsy around cats. Those lies would catch up. I need to be honest from beginning that I was bitten by a cat. However, I was brave and survived it. We all know that bad impressions are not good. I'm hoping that I can make a good impression if she wanted to go out with me. Those jitters....

Our vet confessed he is often bitten by cats. And usually needs antibiotics after due to the listeria bacteria that many cats carry.

If the woman is a veterinary aide, she probably understands the unpredictable nature of cats.

I would think that as long as you don't come across hating animals or being cruel to animals, you'll be just fine. I'm sure she's had some not so nice experiences with animals that come to her clinic. Let her tell you about them.

For all you know, she might be a dog person anyway.

Well you can be smooth about it, just ask for help on how to pet a cat.

My daughter got a job as vet aide and into her third days of new job, she got bitten by a cat and her finger swelled up a little then later into the night, her hand start to get all puffy so she ended up in ER. Her pix below.

Anybody can get bitten by a cat, even a nicest people tried to pet a cat and sometime cats get snapped.

Let put your fear aside, just be yourself and share your life with her.

Its ok to get bit by cats, doesn't hurt a bit. Just when you go out to dinner and you strike a conversation about cats, great, just go with the flow.... BUT, if its the awkward silence,Start off telling her how much you love cats, then just turn and kneel down on the floor and start arching your back in spasms...Hack Haaaaccckkkk Hack Haaaaacccccckkkkkkkk ! Look her dead in the eyes and say: Sorry, Hairball.

Just use what you've been pitching to us! You tried to train a cat to clap, and shoehorn a turbo in a ferrets wheels. A liitle humor and you'll be just as comfortable for telling her your reasons for being bitten. Don't be surprised if she even divvys on a cat nip story with you. You'll be fine! :giggle:
