My girlfriend just moved in an apartment with her cat. When she lived with her Mom, the cat had a Bichon Frise as a companion. The cat would sometimes try to eat dog food.
Now the cat is living by herself and does not have any animals to play with. The cat would try to escape every time someone goes in or out. My girlfriend worries because cat thinks that the whole building is one house, not her unit. She asked me for advice.
I told her that she needs to teach her cat some ASL so that I would be able to talk to cat and tell her to not escape. She said her cat does not know English either.
I know it may help to have TV on. My girlfriend told me that her cat is a Detroit Lions fan. However, they don't play every day. I've tried to tell my girlfriend that maybe the cat will like other friend. However, my girlfriend thinks she likes being the only cat. Plus, it may cost more in pet fees if getting 2nd cat.
Sooooo what do you think???
