Truth about Deaf Culture

I was banned from other website few weeks ago...someone edited my post and put hearing guy s name in my post...without my knowing..(I did talked about me and guy but never mentioned his name on any of my posts..however, someone revenged me and edited my posts and put his name in there)...pretty mystery huh??

I am going to lawsuit against the other website for allowed two other deafies talked (slandered) my reputation on their website...these two deafies really twisted the truth to these hearing culture about our deaf culture!!!

Anyways...that website was supposed to be friendly website however it isnt!! the guy whom i was with, he was or is member there...sadly that he believes these two deafies against me...also he doesnt believe that i was innocent and did not put his name/username in my post...I never knew his new username! oh well!

I need your help...how do I prove it to the man who I really love...for instance: (example) one deaf person told him that deaf culture tends to backstab BUT never steal, lies, manipulative, revenge, stalking, etc...

Can you believe it?? I told him that it's not true! Deaf Culture tends to backstab, steal, lies, manipulative, revenge, stalking, etc...Im not talking about 100% ~ maybe like say about 50 to 85%....

He doesnt understand that deaf culture tends to talk 24 hours everyday through emails, pager, etc...So, I learned to cut back and respect him...so then this idiot deaf person who manipulative him and told him that deaf culture doesnt talk or chat in 24 hours!! so he believes her! After that, he started to think its stalking! LOL...I cant believe it! Can you???

Please feedback and tell me what you think about this? I would like to set a thread about Deafies to vote how many percents if its true that deaf culture tends to backstab, steal, lies, manipulative, revenge, stalking, etc...Im not talking about 100% ~ maybe like say about 50 to 85%....

Dont get me wrong...dont get wrong idea...I didnt say everyone...I mean most deafies...there are good deaf people like you and I...but not others...know what I mean?

Well if you ask me, I think that deaf culture is just as open to backstabbing,lying, manuipulating and other negative behavoirs as any other culture out there. Yes, there are bad things about deaf culture and negative downsides to it....BUT virtually ALL cultures have stuff like that! No culture is perfect (and that includes hearing culture) There are upsides and downsides to every culture. Need I refresh people's memories to the reaction to what Bill Cosby said about black Americans a few months ago?

I totally agree with you! no doubt! you are right! I havent heard what Bill Cosby said about black Americans few months ago..Im curious what did he say? I admire this man! He has great potential...good man!

All I want is how do I set up thread and have deafies to vote so that way I could copy and print it then give it to my man! to prove it to him that I am not lying about it...that there are deaf culture are like that...two deafies are twisting his mind...he is new to deaf culture...i want him to understand that he can not fully trust that deaf culture is soo perfect bez there aint! lol

P.S. to prove it to him that I'm not like them...these two deafies are!

I'm not quite sure if I understand your thread here...

But here is my opinion on what I see in this....

It is true that both hearing world and Deaf world tends to backstabbing, lies, manipulative, revenge, stalking, gossiping and etc.....since Deaf culture is small and mostly everyone tends to spread around false rumors about someone else they may dislike....

but then again most of us don't get involved in something like this and if things tends to keep going on and on then all you can do is walk away and ignore it otherwise, it makes this issue gets bigger if the others know it bothers you....If your boyfriend doesn't seem to believe you then he doesn't even know you too well enough to believe that you did not do it in the first place....

In my opinion, most Deaf people do talk 24/7 on lines, pagers , chats, forums, etc... when hearing people tends to talk 24/7 on their cell phone even when they're driving....so there's no difference about that.... :smash:

Yes, I told him exactly what you told me about hearing people tends to talk 24/7 on cell phone!

I apologized that I didnt explain little clear about my thread...my point is that these two idiot deafies told him that deaf culture doesn't lie, manipulate, etc...they told him that Im the only one who does it!! Its not true..I dont do that...Im a very good person and one of two deafies has done a good job for destroyed me and my man! why?? she thinks that deaf and hearing shouldnt be together...its ridiculous.. Im tired of listen to deafies telling me its wrong to date hearing men....who cares! Its my choice...I had bad experiences with deaf men who Ive dated and once married to...so I prefer to try with hearing man.

Another point is that when I was invited by the guy to the website..I was welcomed there...everyone there shared about everything..so I just shared about me and the guy...(without his name)...but he got mad at me..oops! I apologized to him....I just told him there is nothing wrong with expressing feelings on website without use his name....

But...someone accessed and edited my post...put his name there!!! (two of staff from Admin) knew about me and him....I believe it was one of them did it to be mean...

Anyway...they invited two deafies over there...and two deafies talked about me...my name and username...

Lets forget about their website story...its confusing you guys..lol...its a long story..

but..my main point is that these two deafies told FFF and my guy that deaf culture dont tend to do these things....and that Im the only one in deaf world that does it...

I felt that I need to prove to my man and show him the proof that its not true...that deaf culture does those things. I doint want him to think Im insane bez Im not...ya know what Im saying?

My main point is I want to know if Im being correct...

Is Deaf Culture tends to do those things?? some of you agreed with me like yes...sooo I know Ive seen several deafies do that...they are immature...soo thats why I want prove it to my man that there are deafies does that!
 
you see, I was educating my guy about deaf culture so he can be aware of this or that...

I was teaching him to understand the differences between deaf and hearing culture...understand that deaf culture can be mean sometimes...tends to do these things

hes a lawyer..thats why...smile!

I explained to him that I talk 24/7 through online or emails everyday bez im deaf! he didnt like it bez it was overwhelming him when I emailed him too much..so I cut back my habits...I told him that it s habit of me talk too much bez ive been in deaf world soooooo long....oh well...
 
From a hearing's person perspective. Deaf culture is something difficult to understand at first, because it is unknown to us that Deaf people have their own community. Like any group of people there is bad and good.

I think you are really trying to do something that will not solve your problem. The people that mistreated you are MEAN people, does not have anything to do with them being deaf.

Now, I think that you should keep the issues seperate and not concentrate on the deaf aspect of the problem. If it is also an issue that you spend a lot of time online, or in pagers, etc, sure that is Deaf Culture persay, but there are hearing people that don't spend 24-7 on the cell phone and prefer to read and such. You like to communicate and socialize, there is nothing wrong with that. Just explain that you are social and you use those means to communicate. That is my .02 c.

I agree with you..but how do i prove it to my guy (gunman) that there are deaf culture tends to do those things??

Do you think I should create poll and have deafies to vote?? so i can print and send it to him?? i want him to gasped big time that im telling him the truth and these other two deafies lied to him about it...
 
If that guy really knows and trust you, he would not listen to these people who lied to him. If you guys had that bond, it would not have been severed by this.

I feel that he does not trust you enough to believe you at face value. If you do find research (which I doubt) that would justify your being on line 24/7, why would you want to be with a guy who cant even believe you?

I do know that many hearing people ask me why Im on my pager so much ..I simply ask them " do you have a cell phone? do you have a phone? do you have a computer?" usually they say yes and I say well if you look at the combined time youve spent on these three, that is equal to me being online because this is my only communciation link.

then you all vote yes or no...so i can show it to gunman...so he can gasped and realized that he lost me...smile...

you see, we dont have bond yet...just new relationship thats why...he s having doubt...bez we were new relationship...

EVERY culture has people lying, backstabbing, being manipulative, etc. It just seems bigger in our culture because Deaf Community is very small thus word go out so fast. Wheras in hearing communities, these things go out slowly or never reach everyone.

Ive been a victim of gossip/backstabbing/manipulation but I dont chalk that up to Deaf Culture. I chalk this up to HUMANKIND.

True...I understand your point about humankind...however why do i always look at deaf culture is like this or that?? why i dont see hearing culture isnt like that? i know its big world...lol..but every time here in my state...its the stinkiest deaf community ive ever met in my entire life! i live here since 1996..

other deaf communities out of states are more mature and no problems...but here in my state...oh gee whiz....its like i have to hide in my place...:lol:

honest with you. here in my state...there are almost 80% deafies are like that..im not kidding...if you come down here.. u will understand exactly what im talking about...

i just havent met a real nice deafies here in my state! only like few...but not alot..

i wish we all deafies be proud to be deaf families and love each others support and understand...instead of backstabb or hurt others...thats ridiculous...

hearing world are big...deaf are soo small...why cant deaf culture be proud that we have each others??? our hearing families dont communicate with us much....why cant we be proud that we have each others instead of gossip?? thats what i just dont understand. :)
