because it's the nearest one... and he's most likely not stable enough to be transferred to different hospital. beside - that hospital is equipped to handle his medical needs but he's probably not familiar with it like I am. if I were him - I'd demanded to be transferred to somewhere else.

Yeah , I thought of that after I posted my comment. I can't believe the guy was driving with no sleep for 24 hours and Wal Mart said they where in with federal guideline . I lived in a commune in Berkley and a truck driver had a room there too. He would fall asleep right in his plate of food at dinner, he was on speed while on road . The guy was a mess.
