Anyone else??? I just became deaf about 5 Months ago!! Every month it's a different song. Over and over and over!! I read about musical ear, but that sounds like its enjoyable!! I never listened to this band so I don't understand. "Smoke On The Water" at least it's good music but it wakes me up very early!!

I lost my hearing 5 1/2 years ago and I hear music constantly. Sometimes it will be the same song over and over for days and other times, it's like my head has it's own CD player and shuffles all the sings in my memory.

Right now, I have a shuffle of at least 5 groups singing "Amazing Grace".

Hope you don't ever get one issue I have at times. that's one song on one side and another that doesn't go on the other side. Like: I had Barney the Dinosaur singing "I Love You" and then Sammy Hagar singing "I Can't Drive 55".

Disappoint! I come in here think so cool, not know can hear colour! Lol.

I can't believe you said that. At the beginning I heard Barney, Flintstones and Bewitch and then a radio station at the same time. Then it got bad and the noise became really loud like a car alarm. Brain doc gave me some med which helped with that. I didn't want to talk about Barney in case people thought I was crazy!!!!

My doctor thought I was crazy when I mentioned that I heard Mr. Rogers with his "It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood".

My amazing Grace just stopped. Now I have Loretta Lynn's "Coal Miner's Daughter".

yeah, just wish I could get a new transmission, the old songs are over and over and over..... I watch the young folks bounce and jump while having their headphones plugged into the Ipod things.

However I don't think I will get tired of the old 50's chanel. hahaha! (dooo wa, doo wa, doooo waaaaa do waaa - "

Wow, maybe I didn't really need that last med adustment!! hahaha

You have no idea how happy and relieved I feel for the first time since this horrible mess started. I feel like I'm ok and being deaf is ok for me. I came very close to dying. I'll take being deaf anytime!!! Thanks for the support!!! I wish I knew how to use this website because you all sound like amazing people! God bless you!

Ive been hearing "Every Day" (an oldies by Don McLean)... Over and over and over again. Granted there is a lot of repeat in the song, but after 3 days I think the song should have come to the end... Grrrr....

I've got this ability to program certain music to be played for days at a time in my head. It is helpful during music sessions at my sister's fully-stocked studio during musical jam sessions. :giggle:

"Deep Purple" song over and over

I have tried very had ro try and reprogram the music. I try ro sit and quietly sing a better song, at least one a little more relaxing but it never works. I try to look at it as a positive now because I use to love listening to the radio when I was diriving. Beetles and Bad Company were my favorites. Thanks for everyone's help. It's good to know there's nothing "else" wrong with me. Have a great day!!! Love from California

Amazing Grace seems to be the most popular song!!! I get a grandfather clock sound in my right, dong, dong, dong!!! When that goes away then "Deep Purple" starts!!!

Right now, I have the Ave' Maria in Latin going through. Oddly, it is in my mother's voice since she is the one I remember singing it during my childhood Christmas Pageant.

KristinaB - that just shows how amazing our brains are at interpreting (or trying to interpret) what it is sensing.

Hearing Music

Its interesting how most hear "spiritual songs". I like to think that the grandfather clock noise I hear is my late father watching over me. We gave him a grandfather clock when our son passed away!! Our brains can be wonderful!!!!

Did you tell your mom that? I'd bet she'd like to know that.

I did tell her and she was so happy she broke down in tears. She can't remember what she sounded like when singing and wished she could get into my head to hear it.

Now, I am getting songs from the soundtrack of Grease in my head. Hubby asked about Olivia Newton John and all of a sudden, "Hopelessly Devoted to You: popped into my head, then "Greased Lightening" and some of the other songs.
