This is a neat video clip I found on youtube.com but I would suggest that if you just had lunch or had something to eat and it would be a good idea to wait until much later to watch a toilet trained cat go to the bathroom. ;)

This is proof that cats can be trained to go to the bathroom and Oh Hey, This cat sure doesn't need Tidy Cat.

I know some cats can be toilet trained. But not all cats can. It takes time and patience to do it. Lots of time.

My cats probably can't, because they get scared when I flush the toilet...when I flush it they run like hell.

I don't know if you have a BTE hearing aid or a CI but I do have a BTE hearing aid and I can tell you when I take a leak then flush the toilet and the toilet itself when it is flushed is very, very loud !!!!! I can see why the cat would run away like hell, Fast n' light on his paws

Hmm...have heard of cats doing this, one thing for sure, gotta make sure toilet's always flushed prior to a cat using it...wouldn't want it 'stompin' dirty feet around the house.... :barf:

Otherwise, it's a cool idea and saves money on the endless supply of cat litter. ;)

As a matter of the fact, My husband is toilet-training my cat.

:) Will post some pictures once my cat successfully takes a dump in the toilet! I hope you all are looking forward to it! ;)

My cat doesn't get scared by the flushes. He is quite fascinated with the toilet, actually. So the transition from litterbox to toilet should be an easy trip. Will keep yall posted!

:thumb:

(the reason my husband's pressing on toilet-training my cat because he is quite fed up with my cat bringing out the litter onto the floor for us to walk on. He also doesn't like to smell the fresh-dumped stools... he wants to get rid of them asap... however I am NOT going to stalk my cat around just to scoop the feces few seconds AFTER he has done his job-- I got a LIFE! So the solution: make him dump into the toilet where the stench can be covered up.)

I wish my mother's cats could do that cuz they pooped at the nights...to ruin my sleeping. :hyper: Whenever I plan to get new kitten then I wil find information how to train....kitten would get train and less scare of flush sound. :)

I am sure there are training cat tips on the internet, some may be free and some may be $19.99. I am also sure if you posted the same video clip I just did then you do that on one of the cat forums for cat lovers and you would get hundreds of free tips and advice on how to train your cat and save $$$ on those bags of Tidy Cat plus not have to scissor cut those Tidy Cat .50 cents to $1.00 off coupons in the Sunday newspapers. :D

 Wow!! What a fun movie to watch....good thing I was not having a meal or I would have hurled my cookies.... :D

I have tried to train my cats to walk on the leash but they rebelled big time at wearing the harness. It would have been cool to walk the cats in the neighborhood
