On the first day of first grade classes, the teacher entered the room to see this message on the blackboard: "TTT1A".
"Who wrote that?", she asked.
"I did", replied Keith.
"And what does that mean?", asked the teacher.
"It means", said Keith, "To the teacher one apple," as he handed the teacher an apple.
"That was very nice of you, Keith, thank you," said the teacher.
The following day the teacher found the message, "TTT1O" written on the blackboard.
Again she asked who had written it.
"I did", said Bobby.
"And what does it mean?" asked the teacher.
"It means", said Bobby, "To the teacher one orange". And he handed the teacher an orange.
"Why thank you", said the teacher. "That was very nice of you."
The third day, the teacher encountered the message, "FUCK1T".
Angrily the teacher asked, "Who wrote that!"
Little Juanito raised his hand.
"That wasn't very nice, Juanito", said the teacher. "What does that mean?"
"It means", said Juanito, "From us Chicano kids one tamale."
"Who wrote that?", she asked.
"I did", replied Keith.
"And what does that mean?", asked the teacher.
