i just wanted to give a little something on Valentines Day to all the women at AllDeaf.

so i got you something of everything, i got u flowers and chocolates and a teddy bear. i didn't want to get just one thing incase someone was allergic to something. and if ur allergic to everything well......then.....um.....

Well, today is to celebrate St. Valentine himself. he was a preacher. and he wasnt a Saint at the time. the Roman Emporer, Claudius was mad because no men wanted to join his Military, Claudius thought it was because the men did not want to leave their families. so he banned marriages, and engagements. it was basically illegal. so, the preacher Valentine would marry couples in secret, against the Emporer's commands.

Well, Emporer Claudius found out about this and he had Valentine beaten by clubs, and then had Valentines head cut off. so, because Valentine was so brave in his actions he later became a Saint.

and he died on Feb. 14th, that is why its called St. Valentines day.

so, this is just a day to really appreciate your loved one, and understand how lucky u are to be able to love them. and its a day to thank St. Valentine for his bravery.



by the way, this all happened in the year 270. so...a very very very long time ago.
