>There once was a man named George Thomas, pastor in a small New England

DreamyHawaii,

I noticed no one else posted yet, so, as a new person on the forums who is a Bible-believing Christian, I concur with you.

However, I find it hard sometimes to attend church. I've been in the ministry as a lay person for 18 years and retired in 2000, due to my nerves not being able to take it anymore. It is no wonder why the bars are more full. It is no wonder at all. I don't go to bars, but as far as drinking alcohol, I can take it or leave it. What I can't stand when I attend church is the "new" music that's out. It sounds absolutely ghastly, especially with how many "worship leaders" are on the stage??? I find few, very few songs actually minister to me or make me want to hear them again. Everything from Daysong, I think that's the scab outfit out of Australia and whoever else...yuk! I was told by one pastor that if I didn't like the music, find another church. Last I heard about him, the family that gave the most money to his church left it, so the pastor folded the church and moved back to California. Incidentally, I worked with him and his wife at the school bus company. His wife was nice, he had a chip on his shoulder.

Feel free to email me sometime...

why not ask other people or your friends who their pastors are, and
ask them how they like their pastors... and then join them.

Dreamy, that is a spam...
and plus that is how people get virus... they
passed along to everyone.

I'm going to copy this and send it out to everyone on my address book because GOD does come FIRST!

Thank you for sharing this! :thumb:

I'm new in town, here for college, know no one. I attend one that the pastor's sermon is printed out (transcript), which is really nice, as no one does this, but it's the music sometimes that I can't stand.
