Think directions Vista or Win 7 - need XP

The following is from a section of instructions from another web site :

Get the following service book : PagePlus_Combo_24SB.ipd, Kitty Wireless has the link for the service books on a separate post.
BBDM defaults and looks in the following location for the service book when you connect to your computer:
Documents – Blackberry – Default. Copy your service book to this location.

I suspect that the line “Documents – Blackberry – Default. Copy your service book to this location.” is referring to the Vista or Windows 7 operating system. I am still using XP PRO. Does anyone know for sure what the XP location would be?

default path for my documents in XP is (system drive):\Documents and Settings\yourlogin\ and then browse to my documents and look for your default blackberry folder.

The program you use (Blackberry desktop manager) to connect your blackberry looks in your my documents folder by default. Chances are, you can probably save it anywhere you wish and manually browse to it in the program.
 
It might be "Documents and Settings\<usersname>\Blackberry\default", but I'm just guessing because I don't have a blackberry.

You should be able to look up the user manual for your model blackberry on the web which should tell you the location on XP.
 
Did you search for "blackberry" in search all files/programs? It seems it should pop up with the path indicated.

Maybe it's under RIM instead of Blackberry? :dunno:
 
Thanks all. I do need to do a few other things before getting back to this project.

In the meantime if any want to look at this thread Tutorial: How to program BB Pearl Flip 8230 w/ full P+ services on another site it will show you more about what I am working on. Several have used this for models other than the Pearl Flip and I have been told by the guy that started this that it should work on my old 8703e.
 
Nice, did you manage to get it working?

So from what I'm understanding from the reading you are programming your BB to work with the page plus carrier. It should work, I would hope so.
