I am sick and tired of seeing some Central American kid crawling through a garbage dump while some washed out singer sings Amazing Grace.
I am supposed to give "$.80 cents a day" to save these children from death.

Why doesn't this organization send condoms and birth control pills? Wouldn't that fix the problem better? I mean if some woman can't feed herself, why should she drop 8 kids in 10 years so I can feed them!

Countries outside the U.S. aren't all up on education and birth control and liberal sexual education. As beneficial as it might sound to force everyone to have a license in order to procreate, there will always be "poor and starving" children that will need your money. And mine. And our government's.

So, why NOT pitch in, if not to feel better about actually doing something about it?

That's exactly how I feel too! I did a little research on major charities and found out that they actually donate under .1% of what they earn. For instance, I read something about Make-A-Wish Foundation... they earned $10,000,000; while donating $10,000. The rest was to pay off their efforts. Jeez, "efforts"? BULLSHIT! Why is it called charity? Ugh!

This reminded me of a show I saw on television called South Park. This episode titled Starvin' Marvin had this woman, Sally Struthers, asking people to give money to help feel the children. During the show, she was later busted eating their food. Boy, that would explain how she got so fat. She was a skinny chick years ago on All In The Family.

B/c a lot of those countries don't believe in birth control, that is why.
Vampy, you're 100% correct! It's lots better to contribuate to small charities that don't have too much overhead costs...the charity for my disorder has a VERY low overhead and most of the money goes to research!
