The Truth about the Tea Party

Funny, I don't trust Tea Party and hopefully they lose in November.[/QUOT

Now that is as dumb a quote as ever possible!!!! Name me one person in any national/state/local election who is running under the Tea Party!
If you get your own list you will see it says:

John Doe, Rep.
James Smith, Dem.
Jane Green, Lib.

Not one listing anywhere in the USA says:

Bill Stone, Tea Party

Get a clue!!!

Um, I just voted via absentee ballot, and there were people on the ballot from the Tea Party Movement on the ballot. Just for reference: I'm a moderate and extremists from either side of the aisle makes me twitchy. Foxrac has his own views and I don't always agree with him, but, he's right about these guys. I don't trust them, either. I would encourage any voter to research the candidates thoroughly and know who, what, and why, you're voting for that particular candidate before marking the ballot.

Although I agree with some of it's platform, the guys in that party makes me uneasy so I wouldn't join this party. Though my politics border on the extreme at times, I have always preferred to take the sensible approach to politics rather than the extremist approach.

:thumb: That should be true for every voter, at every election.

Some people, including a few posters here, just look for the (D) or the (R) and check the appropriate box. Saves time and brain cells.

Speaking of which, I just voted via absentee ballot.

Post a copy of the whole ballot, which you should be able to do for your city/state. Then we will see if anyone has Tea Party after their name.
Still greatly doubt it, since the Tea Party never nominated for any position.

Yes, they should because they don't have any brain cells. Better yet, these people, on both sides, should not be allow to vote. Straight party voting should be forbidden because why should anyone at all be allow to vote for someone they know nothing at all of.

Sorry, no. You can doubt if you wish. You can just as easily vote via absentee ballot or just wait until November 2nd. Meanwhile, I'm not going to get into a debate such as this. It's silly and pointless.

That's a little extreme, doncha think?

As I posted, people should be informed. However, everyone has the right to vote once they become of age to do so. You cannot and should not take that away no matter how "brain dead" someone may seem.

Unfortunately, some will do that and we can't change that about some people. The best that we can do is make sure we are not the ones doing that.

I'm not one who likes extremes, so, I have to agree with this. The best thing one can do is vote sensibly.

I voted for La Rouche once as he seemed to be the lesser of all evils. :P I didn't know who he is at the time - much less his position on issues. . I'd never have voted for him if I had known about him.

By that mistake, I guess rolling would want to disqualify me.

I try not to worry about what my fellow American is doing and just do my own research. Then, vote according to my values and the issues important to me.

As for La Rouche, I have no clue who that is. I'm off to google so I can learn about him.

Try googling Lydon La Rouche. The guy is a loon.

I did, and, I concur. I also realized why I never heard of this dude. He was part of the Labor Party at one pt, which, I considered a fringe group and never bothered looking at. In years past, if they weren't Republican or Democrat, I didn't concern myself with who they were or what they stood for. I didn't care! :laugh2:

Wisdom has come with age, and, I've learned to educate myself on everybody, so I can differentiate the loons from the "good guys" (if you can call any politician a "good guy" :giggle:).

I voted for Wendy Davis (D) in '08 *shrug* Would have voted for Hillary over McCain too but she got knocked out by the stimulator

Guess that makes you a good citizen, cuz you can count on one finger the number of votes that crossed the aisle. :giggle:
