The Pentagon is INSANE

Is the Pentagon insane???? Whoever is allowing these soldiers to "rest" on that red carpet with their boots, uniforms and machine guns is INSANE!! Does anyone understand about religious feelings in general or about Islam in particular? Has anyone ever watched a documentary about Islam and notice that people reverently take off their shoes before entering a mosque, where they will all kneel and put their head on that carpet? Those carpets are prayer rugs, or "sajjade," and you simply don't trample all over them with your combat boots and smile for the camera unless you SERIOUSLY WANT TO FIGHT TO THE DEATH with up to a billion people!
Our arrogance is unbelievable and the Muslim world is watching.

I will reserve judgment on this scene until I have more details. The picture doesn't have a date, place, or circumstance attached.

If "insurgents" were using the mosque as a place to manufacture explosives and store weapons, then the mosque was already desicrated.

If anyone was using my church to hide illegal weapons or build bombs, and were using arms to hold off the police, it wouldn't bother me at all to have the authorities bust in.

A mosque, church, temple, or synagogue is only holy if the members are using the building for holy purposes. If they are using the building for other reasons they can't complain when they are attacked. If Muslims don't want soldiers in their mosques they need to kick out the insurgents from the mosques first.

Umm... there's no real story behind this picture. For all we know, it's probably an abandoned mosque. We need more details.

who said that in war or combat people are polite?

no one can afford to drink a cup of tea with their enemies or put their lives on the line by taking off their combat boots so one can take a shot at them... you never let your guard down in combat, thats how people are killed..... go ahead and critize people, their safety comes first

even in capture the flag the most fun game for children and adults, there is no safe base in that game once you cross the line....
