Not that great, if I understand correctly. Then again, unless you're on a tri-band or quad-band phone, travelling internationally and relying on your phone isn't a good idea.

Umm.... how about NO SERVICE internationally........... thats what I experienced in Japan at least. Just for the heck of it I left my verizon phone turned on when I was in Japan for 10 days, and it didnt get service even once. Since it didnt get service, it didnt tell you what time it was, so I couldnt use the alarm clock, but I could still use the camera and video options, and it takes wayyy better pics than a sk2. The verizon phone I have is lg vx 8000.

Well then I guess T-Mobile has an advantage if you're travelling internatonally. My Blackberry works fine in Europe. A friend was emailing back andf forth last week. She was on a SK2 in London and I on my BB here in DC. (I'm talking about text not voice).

It's actually $59 a month for speed faster than dial up or $79 a month for broadband speed connection. It's not worth the money for the coverage I saw, the coverage isn't as much as the sidekick has. I looked at the coverage for the data, not voice. $29 a month with the sidekick, you can't beat that. The blueberry is $49 a month, what a rip off!

hmm it is not rip off. those wireless companies have their own different type of networks. it is same with cable or dsl internet service... for instance, there are two different types of internet service - cable and DSL.
cable has 6mbps for 55 bucks and DSL service costs 40 for 3mpbs. i currently have cable because i want faster internet service.

Now wireless companies have various types of wireless networks.

GPRS - ~50Kbps
CDMA - ~3.1 mbps
EDGE - ~120Kbps
EVDO - ~1.5Mbps(current ~400 kbps)
HDSPA - ~10mbps(current ~700kbps)

so that is why Verizon has EVDO and Cingular has EDGE and HDSPA that cost more. tmobile offers GPRS service for 30 bucks yet there are now EDGE networks under tmobile. unfortunately sidekick can be used on GPRS network. that is why there is 30 bucks unlimited data service only. if you get new mobile, it wud be activited on EDGE network. i believie next sidekick will be activited on EDGE network in the future. so now in my opinion it is not rip off because there are different types of network and coverages. sowwies. as cingular employee, i have tmobile sidekick 2. (dont ask me why. heh.) i think it is good but weak signal, but it s better than nothing. :)

I wouldn't be surprised if someone here decided to save that picture from the website and then pass it off as pictures of Sidekick III! ;)

None.

There are over 1.2 billions are use GPRS/EDGE in the worldwide.

I'd rather have 110% coverage North America and Europe elsewhere.
Would be great reasonable the price.. That what, I'm seeking for..
Reason to prevent not buying rip off even not coverage some of places.. Not worth it.
Waste your cost for monthly payments..

We went to fair and seems interested have but not sure 110% honestly business..
I'd rather wait until the release photo/phone/emails and aim or msn combo in 1.. Perfect.
Different price compare from usa and canada cost.. of course canada is expensive selling as rip off isn't same the currency percentage cost from usa funds.

Yeah. I saw it before. I already try "demo" (non-work) just body from my parent's who dealer at Verizon. It's little big than Nokia 6820 but more smaller than Sk2.

Verizon's coverage is more than tmobile's in USA. personally i have a hard time to deal with tmobile's coverage that keeps dropping.

i believe verizon's service is much better than tmobile's because EVDO or EDGE is much faster in network than Tmobile's GPRS.
EDGE work for GSM only that mean Verizon so not support EDGE. Just EVDO. :)

I wish US isn't behind on technology compared to Europe and Japan! It's no excuse that T-mobile headquarters is in Bellevue, Washington...should be here first or same time. It's a joke, I am tired of the slowpoke web on my sidekick, it's like world wide wait all over again! We don't need dial up speed in 2005 in wireless world! :P Yep, you're right that USA is a large country so it takes a while to cover a huge country with technology.
Did you know Japan do not have GSM coverage?

Well. Europe do not have Verison's coverage (CDMA)

GSM coverage is best for europe and CDMA coverage is best for USA.

GSM - T-mobile/Cingular
CDMA-Verison/Sprint

And still slow internet speed as EDGE or GPRS? Forget it.SK3 is not really high tech for high speed coverage.

I will take Verison over T-mobile for speed.
