Have any of you seen The Grudge? It's a Japanese horror movie that was released last year. They made a sequel, The Grudge 2. The actual titles are Ju-on: The Grudge and Ju-on: The Grudge 2. Now, they're in the process of making The Grudge in America. This movie will probably suck since it's not the original and not as creative. I've already seen them try doing it with Ringu. After they made Ringu and Ringu 2, they made The Ring which contained most of the plot from Ringu and a little bit from Ringu 2. I lost interest in The Ring because of that. Now, I'm hoping it doesn't happen to the American version of The Grudge.

Actually, the director of the original Grudge is directing the remake too as well.

Yeah, I noticed. However, why would he remake a movie that he recently made 2 years ago in an exact same way?

Interesting...

a bit off-topic here...the original Ring with the japanese cast -- I thought it was quite scary and unique. Since hearing about the American version of The Ring with Naomi Watts in it, I've been hearing it's good, but not with the same intensity as the original has.

I notice that quite a lot of re-makes of original movies years after the originals -- often aren't good at all. Only a few rarieties will go through and be better than the originals.
