Ryan Patrick Ketchner...single...was born partially deaf and has roughly 10 percent of his hearing...wears two hearing aids which help him detect vibrations, but not decipher words...is a talented lip reader...while in high school, met Curtis Pride, the only deaf player in the modern era to reach the Major Leagues, and has remained in contact with him since...while playing for San Bernardino, CA-based Inland Empire in 2003, visited students at the California School for the Deaf in Riverside, CA...a 2000 graduate of John I. Leonard High School in Greenacres, FL...signed by Seattle scout Pedro Gifol.

I have heard of him before. I believe he has not played in the majors - just in the minors. Maybe one of these days, he'll be called in to play in the majors. :)
