A HACKNEY woman was waxing lyrical last week after finding out she has the sexiest ears in the UK.
Georgina Pope, 27, of Pitfield Street, Hoxton, couldn't believe what she was hearing when she received a call telling her she was to be crowned Ear of the Year 2006.
Georgina only entered the competition after an ear-bashing in the pub from a friend in who said she should enter.
"It was a bit of a joke really," said Georgina, who works for children's charity, I CAN, in Old Street, Shoreditch, which cares for deaf children.
However, Georgina's ears proved to be far from audio-nary when the judges decided her lugholes were the winners
Georgina was awarded with a Golden Ear trophy by the Royal National Institute for Deaf People (RNID) charity, which organised the competition as part of a new campaign to encourage people to get their hearing checked.
Georgina shares her crown with Celebrity Sexiest Ears of the Year, singer Charlotte Church, and Doctor Who star, David Tennant.
