:topic: sorry it's off topic here about other thread since I want to tell you about the bible's authors, I think Jesus chose his 12 apostles, and told them to write books about him after his death, half of them like Peter, Luke, Matthew, Mark kept their promised.

Jesus chose them to become his biography authors!!

whoops :topic: here!!

I met him several times while growin' up. I also met his wife, Gloria. He can speak fluently in 2 different languages: Spanish and English.

Very interesting true story about Nicky Cruz and David Wilkerson...
http://www.davidwilkerson.org/hislife/the_cross_and_the_switchblade.html

Thanks, Y,

I heard a number of years ago that David Wilkerson felt he was losing the ministry and noticed how materialistic he was getting and sold off all his antique car collection and moved right back into NYC itself. CyberRed, is this true?

Also, didn't know Nicky was in Nigeria a few days ago. If I had known, would have told my fiancee' there to go hear him, as that's where she lives.

Also, does Nicky Cruz allow volunteers to accompany him to foreign countries?

CyberRed, I watched a movie, and it was a good story. Awesome emotion! :thumb:

I have no clue honestly. I don't really pay attention to David Wilkerson about what happened to him. I wish I knew.

Where did you find that information about foreign countries ? All I know that he preached all different states in the USA - but to foreign countries ?

Yep, it was a good story - very impacted tool ! :thumb:

I have a few brothers some of them were
very tough, stubborn and cool....
No one else can influence them at all...
but they were so touched and impacted
at the huge tent where Nicky Cruz and his group
showed up preaching etc years ago.
Very powerful and effective :)

His own website...click on either "schedule" or "itinerary."

CyberRed,

Anyone in the ministry of any kind would be foolish not to have a convoy of people with them. It is said that the Rev. Dr. Billy Graham does not ever step into an elevator when a woman is there, alone or otherwise, unless she is related to him. That is good policy, which reminds me that pastors here in the USA need to do that, too.

I don't believe it's posted, it's a rule that BG has. Might I also mention that, even in hotel rooms, an assistant walks in first, then him...providing that there are no women in there, except for family.
