The Case For Obamacare

There is some reason about why child isn't covered by their insurance.

1) Some companies don't offer plan that cover child
2) The insurance to cover child is very expensive, for my father's workplace, the insurance cover child cost $890 per month, that take more than 50% of his paycheck. The insurance to cover child is usually cheaper if you work at medical care or insurance companies but not all of them.
3) Many companies don't offer insurance to part time workers, especially some people have 2-4 part time jobs, that's very unfortunately about they couldn't find a full-time job with benefits. Some companies kill benefits for full-time workers.
4) Some parents are irresponsible, that's not common as few listed above.

ACA fixes the problem for child and the families can get insurance at cheaper via exchange instead of workplace.

The skyrocketing of medical care have put companies to change the benefits, that hit child so hard.

Previously, most young adults were uninsured but it is mostly resolved by require all insurance to cover young adults until 26 years old.

The insurance companies are partially contributed to medical care problems.

I do understand your post Foxrac. But the central question is: Should not people resolve these situation BEFORE having a child brought into the world?

There is too much apathy among the population that just "shrugs" and says "not my problem, people have a right to sex". However, these same people don't realize that THEY pay the consequences for a child brought into the world by these irresponsible parents. Once these people realize (might take a slap upside the head) that THEY are responsible and suffer the consequences, then THEY will get busy speaking for a stop to these irresponsible acts.

What’s to be confused about the government it “forcing” people to spend their money on insurance to support everybody else. The “Money Pool game” and we all see how that is working with social security; they keep giving it away to those who did not pay in. All we need is another government ran program that will turn into a nightmare and cost even more.
My god look at the past 30 to 60 years of failed and failing programs the government has started and who is left trying to pay for it. The working people. The problem is not the insurance it is the government thinking they should FORCE it on everybody.
People are starving everywhere, sick everywhere, homeless, non-educated. It is not our responsibility to provide for everyone but the government sees it as their job to make my pay into a pool to provide insurance for everyone. It is not right to make us (US) buy insurance if we do not want to and or fine us if out choice is NO. What is next I get to pay into a grocery fund so everyone can eat? A gas fund so everyone can drive? Where does it stop? They have taken it on themselves to force us to buy what we do not want or cannot afford.

there is a liability here all right; it is called the united states government. The new socialist republic of the north americas would be a better name. This may get a little off the insurance subject but it not insurance here it is the forced use of your private money.
They are making the us citizens pay for something that should be a choice and if you cannot afford it you pay a fine? Like you could afford the fine if you cannot afford insurance, what happens if you cannot pay the fine debtors prison next.
Why should a handful of people decide what i have to buy? Especially when i supply theirs out of taxes.
My question is what or how many insurance companies are sneaking money to the representatives to make this insane law.
It is bad enough that they want to keep track of every penny you make and where you keep it now they are telling us how to spend it.
When the day comes that you have someone knock on your door asking for your guns that should be the day you figured out freedom is over.
Government was created to provide for the common defense of this land, that was it, nothing else and for it to survive and fund itself from import taxes not rape the people.
My thoughts are, kick them all out get new people, lower their unreasonable wages and start over. I do not know if wanting a small government makes me democrat or a republican but starting over makes me a realist. Americans open your eyes and get your head out of the dirt. Large business should not run this country the people should and the representatives are not doing what is in the best interest of the people but what is the best was to increase their bank amount.

Well it is your right to disagree with my post, and please exercise that right while we still have it and never apologize for using it. I am sure that in another 30 years, going the way we are you will not have that right in this country. The government will be not only providing your healthcare, but your “health” food and your thoughts as well. Enjoy your banana broccoli shake and be well (I liked that movie bet I read it a 100 times).

That health care reform you speak of is we must make all people responsible and accountiable for their own actions. If we continue with apathy, it won't make a damn bit of differents about who pays for health care because people will continue to destory their bodies AND make others suffer the consequences.

Well, that's unfortunately about how health insurance works.

Simple: Set the educational program to tell about drugs, soda and fats are bad.

Or require drug testing for patients who want their treatment to be covered by insurance, if positive then deny the insurance to cover, if negative then grant the insurance to cover.

People already know that. They just aren't motivated to follow through.

That's a very odd statement coming from someone who is against picture ID's for voters, and drug tests for people who get government benefits.

Excuse me, I don't support those but I'm just give an idea to rolling7 because he doesn't want his money to be spent on people who seeking medical care due to drug abuse.

In my post #68 did I mention drug abuse? No? I did not think so.
What I said was people are living unresponsible and unaccountable for themself. They want to blame everyone else and everything else for their bad health situation. Drugs, booze, cigs, diet, etc. all play into what is wrong with their health BUT THEY HAVE TOTAL CONTROL OVER THESE.
They just intend to live their life thinking they don't have to suffer the consequences nor pay the cost.

It already have been for MANY YEARS and your money from insurance premiums already cover on patients who are irresponsible or not take care of their health.

If you don't want then don't get an health insurance and start pay medical treatment at your own money. If you have health insurance now and complain about that so you are hypocritical.

Also deny the insurance cover for patients who abused their health isn't winning situation because they will refuse to pay medical bill that hit the hospital so hard. The hospital is obligated to treat patients in ER, regardless on whichever health problems are their fault, especially drug abuses.

There are some patients who have mental illness that put them as lack to have full mental capacity to avoid any drug abuses or something that harmful to their health. Rolling7, your taxes already went to mental hospital too.

No, NO Fixrac! You are the one being hypocritical. Myself and other members such as TxGolfer, Reba, etc. already have our own health insurance for which we pay god money out of our pocket. Not one other person pays a penny for our health care.

However, we are FORCE (through taxes) to pay for those who not only have no health insurance they also don't contribute one penny for the health care.

You tell us all, Foxrac, is it fair that we the responsible people suffer the consequences and pay the cost of the irresponsible?

If you say YES that is hypocritical on your part.
