A bill to raise Texas highway speed limits to 85 mph (137 kph) could have motorists getting there faster but shelling out much more money at the gas pump.

That depends on what car...
diesel fuelled cars - it may be their lucky day, becuase diesel burns slowly and it doesn't use much on highway.

Diesel fuel price is bit expensive than gas (petrol).

that's because diesel is more efficient than gas

Yes. but few cars or trucks have diesel engines in America. But diesel engine is longer life than gas engine.

authentic - answer is:

Acura - coming soon in 2011
Audi A3
Audi Q7
BMW 335 and X5
Benz ML350, GL350, R350
VW Jetta, Golf, Touareg

Jeep Liberty does have 4 cylinder Diesel engine as an option.

I would love to drive 85mph and is faster on nice day. But not on rainy, icy, or snowy day. Its a nono. I hope they post yellow speed limit sign for bad weather driving.

Im sure Texan would whirl their 10 gallon hat thru window and scream Yupppeeee while going 85 mph.

Lol

Again with the details....

Some areas of Texas already have speed limits above 75mph. Why is this a shocker?
