I agree with Steve. The Schindler's are grossly misrepresenting this. Keep in mind, she is in a HOSPISE. Therefore, they are trained to take care of people in the last stages of life. The nurses by Terri's side would be monitering her vitals, putting stuff on her lips and skin, so that it doesn't crack and bleed. She isn't bleeding. What is happening her is, her kidneys are shutting down, and she is dying from uremic poisoning. Toxins are building up in her blood. At this point, she is NOT aware of anything due to the fact that she is comatose. She will eventually go into cardiac arrest and be at rest.

So, yes, Steve is correct. It's peaceful for her.
 
I think it's for the best for the poor thing......God bless her and may she finally rest in peace.....
 
I know that I would never want to live in a state like she did. I never thought about my 'living will' too much until this made headlines. I'm taking steps right now so that family and friends know what to do...and its all legal so there will not be any of these legal battles that we are seeing in this particular case.

I cannot put blame on the husband in this and I think he is doing the right thing (although many, many people would disagree with me). The only problem I have with this entire scenario is how her life is being brought to an end. While some will say she doesn't feel anything, there is no way to know that. While I'm legally not supposed to agree with him, I don't think Dr. Kevorkian was all that horrible of a person....and it was humane. In Terry's case, she is withering away until her body shuts down. Even inmates on death row get better treatment than that.

You mean the sideshow?...It's really heartbreaking to see all those photos...I can't image what I would do if I was in Florida... very sad :(

yea thats right girl!!! oh yea it hurt to see that.. sigh... i see people from out of states come down to fla and support wow!! i am glad that.. i wish go there too...
