Teacher Sends Boy Home With Feces in Bag

DALLAS - A teacher is on paid administrative leave after sending a first-grader home with feces in his backpack because the boy went to the bathroom on the classroom floor.

The teacher, apparently frustrated with the 6-year-old student's actions, wrapped up the waste and sent it home with the boy Tuesday along with a note, Dallas school district spokesman Donald Claxton said.

Claxton declined to identify the teacher at Gabe P. Allen Elementary School.

"It generally appears the teacher was trying to help raise awareness with the family," Claxton said. "It's just an unfortunate incident. Unfortunately, she took this course of action."

What happened to happy / sad sticker faces?

Maybe she read that kids could be encouraged through sticker faces.... and she thought it said "sticky feces"

:-o damn that's  the teacher shouldn't do that.. ugh seems like she never was around kids before

What I'm more concerned with is the fact that the child was 6 years old. A child should had been potty-trained within 2 years, no later, unless that child is mentally challenged or has bowel problems.

Or under duress -- children sometimes lose control over their bladder or bowel movement when under duress/stress. Depends on what was done to the boy prior to the incident. :(
