I don't know if this is at all related but as a kid I used to love (still do) "The Last Unicorn" and for some reason your idea for a tattoo reminds me of the movie.

I have the DVD of that movie. I have always loved unicorns since I was little. The thought of unicorn as the signs of strength, purity, and unique appealed to me.
