I agree that rehabilitation programs are needed. So, I will give you that point.

However, I think we can agree that in some cases the death penalty is warranted. And, in this case, I believe it is warranted.

This is not exactly stealing a pack of cigarettes or getting into a bar fight. This is not a guy who found someone at home and choose to run away. This is a guy who would kill someone in front of their children. Never mind that this is his fifth time getting caught, I think this case alone shows the need.
 
There has been a program in Cali, started by conservatives in 2008, that seems to be working quite well. They give the inmates a real college education.

In the past, before the education began, the inmates would get out, return, repeat. Now they are leaving with a degree, real knowledge and they are not returning. Perhaps if that 5 time fellow had been in such a program then who knows? Many prisons are paying attention and having similar results.

Certainly I don't know, but wanted to mention that there are good programs and there are people who can change and want to do so.

Thank you for giving me a point. It hurts me to admit that a conservative program is working. (mischievous chuckle here)
 
I don't mind if NSA agents can spying or Police view on my own Logitech Alert security cameras at home. I hope they can ID them while they walk pass my home. shrug...

He is evil. I hope something very bad happens to him after what he did to the young mother in front of a child.
 
This is one of those reasons why we need guns as self defense in our homes. If she had a gun ready, she would've made him run out of the house asap.

Yeah...but I cannot see anyone just relaxing, watching TV, etc., having a gun "ready to go" in case someone breaks in...The lady has children...so even if she did have a gun, it probably was locked up....and she was unable to fight the man off to get a gun or unlock the gun rack/shelf or wherever she kept it....

It's pretty normal to feel safe in your own home...doors locked at all times regardless...a toy-look-alike gun could have helped ??...if she could have grabbed it somehow...

That's true but it depends on where her gun would be. If it was in her bedroom upstairs, then she wouldn't be able to defend herself in a living room. If she had several guns, one in each room such as a living room, bedroom, kitchen and even bathroom, then she would be able to defend herself as fast as possible.

Do gun owners always carry a gun with them at home? I doubt it.

Thank God for that he is off the street forever. The victim made a smart move to turn on the nanny cam before it happened.
