stupid Ipod...

Whenever I try and connect my Ipod up to ITunes, I have to use a USB cord because it won't work without it. I tried hooking it up without the USB cord but it won't work for some reason. I have a IPod nano, first generation. And when i hook it up to Itunes with the USB cord, it takes forever for me to hook it up. Other times it won't hook up at all!!! My parent won't get me a new ipod. because its so expensive. one time i was using my ipod to put more new songs on it, my whole Ipod songs....GOT ERASED!!!!!! and on itunes it was syncing itself with other songs that were my dads for his ipod. and i didn't want my dad's songs. So i had to erase them again and make itunes stop syncing..its pain in the butt..:ugh: my dad had to wait 30 minutes for the ipod to hook up to Itunes. He has the classic IPod video.
 
It happened to my husband's Ipod before. You have to do re install. You have to talk with your dad about Ipod.
