If they made a sequel/prequel using Deep Space 9, it would ruin the original purpose. The original purpose was "Enterprise". So, all movies are based on the Starship Enterprise. Out of 5 different series, two don't fit... Deep Space 9 and Voyager.

Ok Folks... what do you guys thinks about the new poster? I am like "NICE!" you can see the texture as if it is a fabric badge on actual shirt worn by fleet officers. The Gold and Blue colors are used in early day of Star Trek Fleet.

Actually, Gene Roddenbury had a saying, "to boldly go where no one has gone before" That means we must go forward not backward, an "Enterprise" or a Kirk prequel would be a HUGE step backwards because we're supposed to remain in the 24th century then make a TV show that's set in the 25th century with one recurring character from TNG -- Data. He is an android after all, He could easily outlive everyone else.

Duh me! I mean "Starfleet" not "Star Trek Fleet" eh.. :D

A friend told me that this movie might be related to a captain of the Enterprise between the Original Series and the Next Generation.

Did you watch Star Trek: Nemesis? Data was destoryed along with Scimitar to save friends and Enterprise from its massive weapon. After battle, senior crew went on their own path and Picard was only one remains in command of Enterprise.

But... didn't the advanced Data downloaded all his information into the amateur Data?

I have no idea about Commander Data did transfer all memories to B-4 (name for thrid Data). B-4 isnt perfect like Data and his brother Lore, only few things limitations or incorrect. B-4 was built to lure Enterprise into trap.

Lore was deactivated and dismembered by Data. Only piece he took from Lore were emoticon chip which Data had deserved from his creator. Later in St: The Generations, Data had it planted to his memory brain. Perhaps it made Data felt it's possible to sacrifice himself to save best friend Picard and Enterprise.

There's some Star Trek books may hold some clues to B-4's future. Others held future after TV series's final moments like Riker and his new captain career on Titan, Luna-class starship. Same thing to DS9 and Voyager.
Wikipedia and Memory Alpha held records on future.

Yeah and Data's memories was transferred to B4's body, which means B4 can start calling himself Data or if the filmmakers wish, They also can ignore that Nemesis existed and started a new timeline. Hey, they've done it with Supernan Returns just like how Enterprise ignored some continuity from the TNG by introducing the Borg to the 22nd century.

I thought Star Trek "Nemesis" was supposed to be the last one? So After Star wars movie "Revenge of the Sith" wasnt suppose to be the last one nether huh?

Star Wars - Episode III wasn't the last one. There's 6 of them. There's also an in-between animated series that takes place between Episodes II and III. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to make an animated series for a series of events that took place between Episodes III and IV.
