Emphatic no! My husband managed to catch a small group and try to keep them when he was a child.

I know we used to be able to get : gator, frog legs, pickled pigs feet, squirrel, rabbit, possum, raccoon and rattlesnake. I could never eat any of it. Always gagged and got sick. Rest of family ate it like it was going out of style.
