Yesterday, we set up the 30/32 gallon fish tank in the dining room. Never had a problem with it before.....so late last night, I woke up thirsty, around 2AM....as I was making my way to the kitchen....water was everywhere!

I started "bailing water", and cussing a blue streak!...Slipping and sliding. What a mess.

Glad we didn't have our fish in there. I had given them to a friend, who has a pond, and I was gonna get some more fish later soon as I got things situated and straighted out from the move.

I sat at the dining room table until 3:30AM....drinking coffee....feeling sorry for myself and asking..."why me"? The boys slept right thru all of this...they gave me a "funny look" when they got up for school...must of have been my "frazzled look" :giggle:

That happened to me too. Too bad mine was a 750 gallon salt water. Full of fish too, superbowl sunday. :(

Water went thru the floor, and messed up the pool table downstairs. New couches, new flooring, new wine bar, new pool table, new carpet downstairs, new ceiling... Well, you get the idea.

The floor gave away to the stress.

But a 30 gallon? Hmmmm Musta been thin glass.

Oh that sucks! Did the aquarium shatter? Or was it a leak at a seam?

I'm glad no fish died on this but I hope nothing is ruined in your dining room. I would be in a very bad mood if I had to clean up this mess.

RIP little fishies.

Sometimes people don't realize how much water can weigh.
