Heath said:Amen to that Oceanbreeze and I also always assume spiders are posionous therefore I treat the spiders as lethal insects to not be messed with. I know there are non-posionious spiders but it is better to be safe than sorry plus not only that they carry various aumonts of diseases and if a spider gets you then you end up in the hospital with 105 degrees and sick vomiting etc. Not worth it.
The hospital bills these days are one big rip off. I remember one guy who was my neighbor was very angry and telling and showing me about the hospital bill from when he had his wife send his son to the hospital emergency room and he got a bill for $900. just for a fever and overnight observation for 2 or I think it was 3 nights.
If I was the doctor. Here is how I would have broke the bill down.....
$ 5.00 for Tylenol pills to help with reducing fever
$ 2.00 bag of blue ice pack
$ 3.00 for the roll of paper that is printed to montior the boy's heart and temperature accurately.
$ 10.00 for ice cream, buttery toast and ginger ale
$ 20.00 to help pay for tv / cable ( Closed Captioned, Of couse !!!!! )
$ 20.00 for nurse's paycheck
$ 20.00 for my paycheck as a doctor.
$ 20.00 to help with paying the electric bill for the hospital
That would just work out to about $100. which is not too bad and certainly very reasonable and I would see more people which means more business and more people become healthy but $ 900. just adds up to a man's heart stress because he has to work overtime just to pay the bill and for the lady if she is alone with the kids, fraught with worry for how she will get the money while the doctor is relaxing and driving around in a fancy Merdeces Benz. That is why I resent the doctors but the nurses are awesome.![]()

Ahhh .... I remember those days and that would be cool but I don't play house doctor anymore. I would have to go to school for that to get certified and that is something that would take way too long to finish school in plus the long words and terminology is just too much for me to remember plus not only that, I have people's lives on the line. I am trained in basic first aid and CPR and I have read the U.S. Army war surgery military manual for on the battlefield but beyond that. I don't know anything more and would have to go to school for sure so No Thanks .... but the internet today is awesome with alots of good medical information but you have to be careful sometimes internet medical information isn't 100% right.Oceanbreeze said:Well, down here where I live, we have the brown recluse spider, which IS venomous. It bites, and leaves a very nasty wound on the victim. It's not lethal, but it'll put a hurtin' on ya. There's also the black widow spider, which is found through out the US. That's venomous as well. Besides those two, I know no other spiders that are venomous. Doesn't matter, though. If it's got 8 legs, I tend to want to have it GONE.![]()
it...

Heath said:Hey LuciaDisturbed, Now that you are living in Texas. Do not forget the Scrpion has 4 legs and is tail stings death, or the Texas rattlesnakes, they are mean n' aggressive snakes. Please do not think in terms of how many legs an animal has. Think about which ones are dangerous and are best avoided at all if possible. Wild Scorpions have been known to end up walking into the city in search of food and water and some people are crazy to keep scorpions in their house. I never enter a person's house if he or she has a pet snake or taratunlana or even scorpions. They are very crazy to think these animals are pets compared to dogs and cats. I do not mean to freak you out or anything like that .... I just want you to be aware and to think alittle differently so that you will be safe and enjoy all that Texas has to offer.
