Someone finally said it.

How many are actually paying attention to this?






There are African Americans, Mexican Americans,

Asian Americans, Arab Americans, Native Americans, etc.

And then there are just Americans.






You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction.

You Call me "White boy," "Cracker," "Honkey,"

"Whitey," "Caveman" .. And that's OK.






But when I call you, ******, Kike, Towel head, Sand-******,

Camel Jockey, Beaner, Gook, or Chink ... You call me a racist.






You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you,

So why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?






You have the United Negro College Fund. You have Martin Luther King

Day. You have Black History Month. You have Cesar Chavez Day. You

Have Yom Hashoah You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi You have the NAACP.

You have BET.






If we had WET (White Entertainment Television) We'd be racists.



If we had a White Pride Day .. You would call us racists.



If we had White History Month We'd be racists.



If we had any organization for only whites to "advance" OUR lives ..

We'd be racists.






We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of

Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce.

Wonder who pays for that?






If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships

... You know we'd be racists. There are over 60 openly proclaimed

Black Colleges in the US , yet if there were "White colleges"

THAT would be a racist college.






In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching

For your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights,

You would call us racists.






You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're

Not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride ..

You call us racists.






You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer

Shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug-dealer running

From the law and posing a threat to society You call him a racist.






I am proud.

Why is it that only whites can be racists?

I have read that last year.

Yea Whites are being held to higher standard more than any other races therefore their actions will be always being under scurnity.

Few examples:

Imus being fired after he called Rutgers "Nap Hoes"
Kramer being called out for his remarks abt whites
Congressman ( i forgot his name) was ridculed when he said black people should forget slavery

I had that exact same conversation with a few multi-cultural organization members at NTID. They basically bashed me saying that I had no right to say it and also called me a racist for even bring this up. :roll:

I agree with you.

I had a similar argument with a few deaf multicultural organization members in the past.

They have clubs for African Americans, clubs for Asians, clubs for Hispanics, etc...

They told me that I couldn't be involved with their executive boards because i was not of their nationality. So, I told them... "I think I'll set up a club called White Students of RIT (WSR)." Of course, they all immediately called me a racist and the faculty members told me that I was a racist too. :roll:
 
I agree SOMEWHAT! But the thing is we white people celebrating our skin tone, when we're in the majority is kinda silly. We can be proud to be ethnic (ie Irish, Polish, German etc) without being all "rah rah rah White Pride!"
And besides, white is more of a sociological thing, rather then a skin tone thing. Someone who's got a skin tone of white but isn't all middle class suburban acheiver isn't White. My brother had a professor in college who had all these awesome theories, and he was even in Newsweek b/c he was so controversial!

There are so many social problems that still need to be addressed, and I believe these things are expressed differently.. some in positive directions, some in not so positive directions. lol I do find having celebrations of identity a positive thing if done in a positive, uplifting manner - gay pride parade, multicultural event, etc.We all need to feel good after having been treated like subhumans for a long time.

White people can't jump. They can't dance either. White crackers? Well, to be fair, these things are pretty much racist and hypocrites would say these things and expect no one to offend them in the same manner., no doubt fair skinned people get their shares of "reverse" racism and crap about being different.

Although I have to say that we do have Irish pride, and considering the Irish are "white"... as white as they come! ;) So you definitely can't say that white people don't have anything they can celebrate without being judged for it now.
 
ahaha, I know and I agree. That is totally absurd with all of this. This is where I work before, black group (not all are like that), friend of mine also black, which she doesn't involve them, and they claimed her as against her own race and not really black. Other thing is, I always asked myself, what if the movie call "Black Men Can't Jump", for sure, will have huge violence going on. Have we hear any complaints or any violent reaction by the movie call "White Men Can't Jump"? Even tho, what KKK are doing is way out of hand, bec KKK is more as stereotypical on particular race. I look at as a person, not the color. Colors has different behaviors and views. I have lot of black friends which they treated as equal with us. Beleive it or not, even some black who doesn't involve black racist, also call them "N" word. As the news I watched last night mentioned, that Hate group is growing dramatically. But I urge for all of us not to be involve, it will not solve any problem or getting better out of that.

Would it be different if u had called Irish students of RIT? Would the reaction be the same, do u think?
 
Doubt it Shel - You could have even said Jewish Student Board and it would have been fine because Jews by definition are Caucasian. their ethnicity lies in their religious beliefs and customs, not skin tone.

I think a better term would be Euro-American because many of us whites have ancestry that goes all the way back to the old world.

But I agree wholeheartely with the original post. It is OK for a black boy to call me a Cracker, but he gets his panties in a wad if I call him a ******, even though among his buddies in the ghetto they are ****** this and ****** that. ****** is ****** no matter who says it and cracker is cracker no matter who says it.

Blacks dont want to be stereotyped as gang bangin' thugs in the hood that be bustin' caps in each other, then they need to quit acting like it. I do know some black people in my area that are educated and they get ticked off when they see a black person acting all tough when the truth is they are only doing it for show and calling it black pride. These people expect better for people of their own race and dont want to be grouped in that negative stereotype. I dont blame them.

I agree with u wholeheartly. My husband is black and has a professional job. We live in a rental townhouse that is really cheap so we can save money to buy a house rather than spending $1,700 a month for a nice apt and take forever to save money. So, the area where we live in has a lot of black people and I always see young men dressing like gangbangers and all that. My husband said that they are wannabes and really stupid. There are a lot of black people here that are just good people who are trying to get their lives together. Those I have respect for..not the ones who think it is so cool to live like thugs. One of them has a car with fake bullet holes in it. It is a new VW Jetta...why not get a low rider to match the stickers? :roll:

If u are referring to my post then I am sorry it was repugnant to u but I was just responding to Dixie's post and quoting what my husband thinks of this issue. Those are not my words..but my husband has a good point. Why glorify the gangbanging life?
 
I agree its a social issue that address the needs of a particular culture. I am glad to be a chrisitian. I don't identify myself with color that's just me rather see millions saved by God's grace, the soul is important.

Lives for God!
